What do you think about U.S. Senator, Barack Obama, running for President?
Public Comments
- i hate all of them
- it's a stretch...he'll win Illinois...that's about it...Hillary would have a better chance
- scares me as a repub. I think he just might win.
- It would be very interesting if he ran, and very interesting if he were elected. I'm for it. I would also like to see Hillary run.
- Nice thought, but Perot with his money couldn't get in.
- I think it's a great idea. We need some change in the presidents- why not a african american once in a while? Plus we need a good president right now and Obama seems like he could be the one we have been waiting for.
- I don't think it would be a great idea based on the fact that Sen. Kennedy can't even pronounce his name correctly. He's recorded as bumbling something like, "Osama, I mean, Obam, err Osamababama..." And he never said it correctly. lol If your own party members don't know your name...what chance do you have?
- Actually, I think it's ambitious. He is so young and as far as I know, doesn't have all that much political experience. I am not saying he shouldn't, but just that I don't think he is well known enough across the country to really have a good shot at it. Plus the youth issue... But there is always a first time, hm? If he runs, I'd wish him the best of luck. And besides, if he runs and doesn't win, he is more well known for sure the second time around if he wants to try again later.
- I think he's an intelligent and articulate guy. He's less that half way through his first time as senator so I question if he has the experience yet to be president.
- I think it is a little ridiculous that so many people are making him into "the great black hope" based on one speech and a little over one year as a senator. He's welcome to run, I don't think he's the going to be the best candidate out there for the democrats.
- Waste of time and money. Jeb Bush has already been selected as the next president. Go big Red Go
- it would prove interesting to see if he helps cause any party divides
- By the time the 08 elections happen Obama will not be too far off how old Clinton was when he was nominated and elected. While personally I think Hillary would have a more powerful effect (which may not be a good thing)... perhaps obama is just what we need.He is young idealistic and not tainted by Washington political corruption. He offers hope instead of fear and I think thats a good way to go in the times we live in.
- Too liberal.
- I know very little about him. He has very little experience. Maybe one day he should. I don't know that any freshman senator with two years experience should seriously consider it.
- Politically speaking, I think he is a nice change of pace. I see him more as a VP candidate though.
