Do you really think the Senator Barack Obama is "qualified" and have enough "experience"?

in the political office to become the President of the United States?

  1. Not even close
  2. Well yes he's intelligent and reasonable. Better qualified than the current occupant I'd say...
  3. No. I can't even find anything that he has done impressively for Illinois.
  4. No, I don't, he may be in time, but for this cycle I just don't think so. Of course being a one time governor of Texas was hardly preparation either, but Obama is also a bit young, or maybe I'm just getting older, but I don't think hes seasoned enough.
  5. The words 'qualified" and "experienced" do NOT belong in the same sentence with that man's name!
  6. No. I find it ironic that illiniois is one of the most corrupt states in the union....
  7. Not even close.
  8. See: Obama Kenya MauMau. Why are Americans not doing their homework.
  9. he more experience than a mayor does
  10. Well let me think about it? NOOOOOOOOOO
  11. NO!
  12. Yes, I believe he is qualified. Too many people equate "experience" with years as a politician. I want a good leader, not a career politician. Maybe that will be Obama, I just know I don't want another career politician. We need someone that thinks "outside the box." *To others, he's not Muslim. He is a Christian.
  13. Intelligence?? yes...qualifications?? absolutely not...He really lost me when he voted for and advocated Partial Birth Abortion.
  14. yes,,,he has world experience.
  15. No he's not. And would we really want a Muslim president? Think about THAT.
  16. The Constitution lays out the qualifications for being the president. Thirty-five years old when taking office....must be a natural born US citizen and must have lived in the US for 17 years before taking office. Otherwise it's up to the people to decide if any particular person...any age over 35, man or woman....any religion or no religion is qualified. Obama has had as much experiance as John Kennedy so I suspect he has enough qualifications. I'm voting for him!
  17. Obama doesn't have enough government or management experience. However he is qualified to be President because of his life experiences, intelligence, communication skills, energy, curiousity, charisma and vision.
  18. No, all he has done since he's been a Senator is write a book and go on a book tour to sell it .I guess that qualifies as experience...But on the other hand, look at his competition? To go along with this do nothing 14% approval Dem congress, 08 should be a shoo in for Republicans..
  19. Experience is completely meaningless if someone has performed poorly the entire time. Seems like we elect a lot of experienced people and they don't do a good job, so maybe that qualification isn't as important as so many people believe. He is qualified. He was born in the United States and is over age 35. That's the only qualification for the office in the Constitution. Our great country can be great again with the right leader. No problem gets solved until the boss decides to solve it. I personally am willing to give Obaba a chance even in the hope that he'll do something differently. Can we expect anything different or new from any of the other candidates? When a plane is off course a little bit, it needs a minor course correction. When a plane is way off course, it needs a major correction. The United States needs a major correction. We're way off course. Our "experienced" leaders have been completely impotent. If Obama can make the tough decisions correctly and get the nation back on course, his "experience" will have nothing to do with it. We need a leader, not experience.
  20. Compared to Bush and Cheney I would rather a nappy hair head ho o a skanky crack jack joojaboo be President. Yo, even if we had to allow a chimpanze to be President we be better off. What we want is a first in Pa and Ma running the country, Clintons draw us in this. Yes sir, Pa had his turn now what will it be like with ma in charge? We are draw to this new and different consideration as a nation, first woman President and not that we are racist and want not a black or other race in Office but I serously think part of the appeal is scandal from before, he in office with secretary and what will she do, revenge and such scandals and turn abouts issues are a sport in our thoughts about Clintons in House and so it is a PA AND MA issue appealing to many people regardless of race, an issue of a parental presidency it seems as never before has a man and his wife then been elected, it just appeals to us, the people I think.
  21. well you were doing good till you got to the part where you said, "in the political office to become the president" At that point after I quite laughing, I realized you might be serious. So to answer you question, Mr. Obama my be "experienced for the folks of Illinois" but not for any state that actually CARES about substance.
  22. It's not like he was a truck driver and just decided to run for President. He does have experience. Barack Obama wants to change our country for the better and that definitely counts as qualification in my book. Oh, he is not a Muslim. He is a Christian. There is nothing wrong with Obama, but I prefer Mike Gravel more. People, vote for Mike Gravel!!
