Do you think Senator Barack Obama can ease tensions in Iraq if elected President?

Could it be that an Obama Presidency could have middle eastern appeal because of his inter-racial heritage? Violence would be halted considerably and diplomacy would have a chance to work.

  1. good lord no..there will be a war in two weeks after his oath....
  2. The man has talent...Hopefully so.
  3. no black people would be going "shut up whitey, we OWN the white house" blaring rap music and killing white people in the streets knowing they'd get a light sentence
  4. I haven't seen any evidence of it yet, though he seems to be a good man. He is receiving well-placed criticism lately for being too general in his answers regarding what he plans to do about Iraq. Until I hear something concrete beyond "We need to bring our troops home" and "I never approved of this war from the beginning," I'm going to say no.
  5. The man may be good, but I don't think he will be that good. There will always be violence in the middle east. Always has been.
  6. No, I personally don't even really think he's all that good, he's a nice guy......thats it....just because he's a nice guy doesn't mean he'll make a good president.
  7. I imagine a good way to ease tension in Iraq is to take our soldiers out of there and let them do their thing. "All we are saying, is give peace a chance"
  8. Race isn't helping Condi Rice, didn't help Colin Powell. I think Obama has yet to reveal enough about himself for me to even know the answer to your question. I know where he stands on the war, and I admire it, but I don't know how he'll handle it once in office.
  9. It depends on which part of the Middle-East identifies with Obama. If it's the Shia, then Sunnis will chop all our heads off. If it's the Sunnis, then the Shia will chop all our heads off. So it all comes down to who you want to chop your head off.
  10. Pay attention to his policies, not his racial background. If race mattered, then Al Sharpton could solve all African-American-related racism.
  11. No are you serious?
  12. duh, he'll pull out like all libs would and try to make everything right by bringing the troops home. troops dead in the 4 years of war- 3400 American civilians dead from 9/11 (one day)- roughly 2792 It'll happen again if we pull out. Terrorists will build back their image in those areas and regain control. were on the right track right now, we just need to do some more troop surges.
  13. Obama like any other Democrat is all for appeasing the terrorists. Him and a whole host of other politicians think you can negotiate anything.
  14. Because he's biracial the people that want death to America will give us a continuance????
  15. It would be his extreme intelligence and genuine diplomacy that would work. His inter-racial heritage would only play a very small percentage in it.
  16. Nope. He will be like Peanut Brain & be a laugfhing stock around the world. They will attack with impunity.
  17. Welcome to the beginning of the end of the USA. You will see all of the stuff they are dealing with over there happen here. store up your arms, and have plenty of ammo if he or the communist queen of New York get in to the White house. Be prepared to defend yourselves against the radical Muslim pigs here.
  18. Senator Barack Obama could be a good diplomat because of his African connection and Muslim ties. Leaders in the MIddle East could accommodate him on the negotiation table which could make pacts to end the conflicts in this world. VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know if Obama will likely win.
  19. Please.. Diplomacy, without action, is like playing chess alone-- even when you win, you lose. Diplomacy has no chance to work when you are dealing with religious fanatics or islamic terrorists, simply, because they know they are right because Allah said so. I say, we achieve true racial and theological diversity in Iraq, by mixing their atoms together at the nuclear level. Then, they can be at one with their own maker, and the earth and everything else within the general vicinity. Give nukes a chance!
  20. I believe he would be a much more respected leader to enter into diplomacy with around the world. As far as "easing tensions" in Iraq-I agree with the majority of Americans and Iraqis that the sooner the U.S. Occupation of Iraq ends the sooner the terrorism and deaths subside.
  21. It doesn't matter who the President of the United States is...the Islamic extremists and terrorist groups are always going to hate us and make our lives miserable. How would one propose to get these people to a negotiation table.....drop handwritten invitations along the Pakistan/Afghanistan border????? Can't have diplomacy with these people they only understand violence.
