If it walks like a duck . . Why is Senator Barack Obama talking about religion so much?

1. It's strange -- all liberals, and liberal-based entities like CNN, talk about religion much more than anyone else.
2. He either believes in all that superstitious nonsense or he thinks that pretending he does will get him votes. Both alternatives are pretty scary.
3. he was brought up in a catholic school and became a born again 15 or so years ago. he has talked about religion on many occaisions before, just the media seemed to pick up on it this time, for him it was nothing out of the ordinary

5. Be mindful that you're hearing the talking points the media wants you to hear. That being said, the media can't pull those quotes if they aren't said. I would suggest that if you're interested in what Barack's opinions are, you should go to his website, http://www.barackobama.com/. This will give you a straight from the horses mouth view point. Combine that with other source material and you'll have a good idea of Barack's stance on religion. Don't let the media do the work for you.
6. Maybe because he has finally decided to address the ignorant people who have decided to spread around that he is Muslim. Maybe if instead of spreading lies, or exaggerating the importance of his middle name people would focus on his campaign he wouldn't have to make such a public announcement of his religion.
7. Because he believes with some justification that the Right is trying to at least plant the unconscious notion that he is sympathetic to Muslim terrorists. So Obama as apparently came to the conclusion that it's better to help the American people understand where he stands on religion and the practical impact arising from it if he becomes President. This is a risky calculation to make. Should he ignore the issue or start answering questions about his beliefs ?
