4. Just like Christianity, the Muslims have extremists in their religion too. The majority of Muslims are peaceful and distance themselves as far from Osama and his minions as they can. Or did you forget about the Crusades when the Catholic church and the assorted Kings of Europe sent their armies to the Middle East to exterminate the Muslims? Or did you forget about the Burning Times when the Catholic church sent it's inquisitors to exterminate the Pagans of Europe? Or did you forget about the Spanish Inquisition when the Catholic church tried to scare the Spanish people back into the proper Catholic-way of viewing the world? Or did you forget about the Salem Witch Trials when Christians and Catholics used witchcraft as an excuse to burn people at the stake who had differing views from them? Don't let one extremist group color your view of an entire religion. Every religion has extremists, including Christianity. Even today we have people like Pat Robertson who are going to get this country into a war sooner or later with the extreme-right religious views.
5. Obama was a Muslim. He spent some time with his father, going to a Muslim school in India. But he went back to his mother in Hawaii later. Nowadays, he is an off and on attender of the Trinity United Church of Christ, which is not islamic, but christian.
6. Why do so people many care about religion background since politic never can be mix with religion? Not all muslim are bad same like not all christian are nice too. Some of them are so fanatic same like muslim.. (i am not atheis i believe in GOD) And please don't ask any sensitive question here..
7. His being a member of the United Church of Christ probably has something to do with it. There are several reasons NOT to vote for Obama, but religion is NOT one of them.
8. Because he's not muslim. Why are you so concerned over a muslim president anyway? Are you afraid a muslim president might push his religion on people for no reason (exactly like our current prez is doing)? Your hypocrisy is astounding!
