Barack Obama????????????

Anyone want to fill me in about Barack Obama. Is he a Muslim? Hindu? Converted Christian? The point about Obama is that unlike the Hilary Clintons of this world he is up front about his origins. This is not to impugn Ms. Clinton who may be what she says she is. But many WASPy types are closet Jews etc. and refuse to come out about it. Not only are the Obamas of the world up front, they also expect YOU to pay for their passions and causes.They decry the inequality between the West and the African nations with even greater passion that the Bill Clintons, etc. And in the end, the West (where most of us are sorely deprived) pays for the inequality with money which should be going to pay for the rebuilding of American city infrastructure. So is what you see what you get? Is it not a case of Obama being as `white as we are` but a case of his being a whole lot blacker?????????????????

2. Barak Obama is an invented candidate of the liberal mainstream media. He isn't qualified to be president.
3. Obama is a Christian. As for the race issue, I think it's causing Barack a whole lot of headaches. He needs to portray that he is a fair and just man and worthy of the Democratic nomination. But he has Al Sharpton nipping at heels, accusing him of not being "down for the struggle." So he's trying to play a balancing act between favoring blacks and not favoring them so much that he alienates whites.
4. Is he sitll in the race? He could drop dead tomorrow and I wouldnt even know! Actually all the dem candidates could do the same and I wouldnt notice! Oh well, back to my dinner.
5. He is a Christian. That other answer is wrong, he has Federal Government experience, just as most of the Dem candidates do. Unlike many Republican candidates.
6. Have you tried his web site? Before you attack some one you might want to know what he is saying. He is a christian and I know this because I bothered to look. I might not vote for him but I am not going to start accusing him of doing something that all of the candidates should be doing...They should practice the separation between church and state like our forefathers wanted. Lets get real you sound like you are just plain racist. I think you need to start doing research before you jump to judge... then get help.
7. He's a Christian. He's not a Muslim, he never attended Muslim schools in Indonesia, he's a regular church-goer. In fact, I think he is a little bit too keen on Christianity for my taste. I have no idea what you mean by, "But many WASPy types are closet Jews etc." I'm a Jew, and I don't look at WASPs and think "Mom! Dad!" America devotes the lowest portion of its GDP to foreign aid of any industrialized nation. We are not exactly impoverishing ourselves to help peanut farmers in Senegal.
8. He's definitely an athiest, but he is 'playing' religious because he knows an athiest wouldn't be well received in American politics. In his most recent book, 'The Audacity of Hope'. He makes plenty of comments making it obvious, things like 'Reason and religion are in constant conflict', and 'I can see great truths in all religions' (neither is verbatim). I don't know about you, but I dont know many religious people who think all religions are OK.
