Why do people think Barack Obama is a Muslim?

They equate "Obama" with "Osama" and then they begin a whole new level of confusion beyond even THAT level. Either way, it already cost him his election...

People think Barack Obama is a muslim because : 1)He has a muslim step father an Indonesian and her mother an american researcher become a woman muslim and they live in Jakarta Indonesia where the majority of its population are muslims 2)He entered the state elementary school at Jakarta and he had learned islamic religion together with his class mates. 3)His Indonesian class mate told that he believe in Islamic religion at that time 4)After grown up he left Indonesia and married in the USA with a christian woman so he declared himself a christian. 5)He has a name Obama because his late father came from Africa
