1. Who ever said Obama wouldn't cite the pledge? That's B.S. The whole thing about the flag lapel pin, however, is true. And personally, I agree with him. Wearing a pin on your lapel doesn't make you a patriot any more than wearing a cross around your neck makes you a good Christian. It's what you *do* that defines you. Take a look at our current president. The guy that basically started the trend. He's suspended Habeas Corpus, authorized torture, claimed the presidency is above the law of the Constitution, authorized the spying on U.S. citizens, etc. Does that sound patriotic to you? Do those sound like American values? If you ask me, GWB is about the most un-American president we've ever had.
