Barack Obama?

In your opinion, what is it about Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) that makes him so appealing to young people and do you think he truly has a shot at the White House?

1. Hero worship, and no I do not think he will be able to muster the electoral votes to win.
2. Young people always are attracted to young people. That is not the qualification that one needs to be a president. As for him living in the White House;...well truth is, those that have been pushing him to make a "fool" of himself, already told him, "no way"..... ...you an us though are not supposed to know this ok?
3. Young, charismatic, warm, a good speaker, and a good lifestory. No, he doesn't have a chance -- I think his inexperience will sink him -- plus, Hillary plays hardball, and just watch how they sabotage him in the coming months. Plus, he's already making a lot of mistakes.
4. I think Obama identifies and connects with the youth more than any other candidate. But to get to the White House is another issue.-
5. A "black"man in the "white" House......I cant see it happening, but good luck to the guy!
6. He is one of us, the common people of the US. His background is one of achievement after achievement. Did you know he worked on the south side of Chicago, as a social worker for $13000 a year. I do like him, and I like his chances. What he lacks in experience he gains in intelligence. He is well educated, very well spoken, and I think he has a quality about him that many politicians don't and that is the ability to listen. I think he has a good chance to be president, if not that then vice president with an eye to the future.

8. He appears young, and is very articulate,and empathetic. I do not think he will get the nomination (this time).
9. Your question as well should be, would the democratic party elect him to represent their party. Edwards seems to be the most electable democratic candidate. I think the party/Hillary will blast him soon to gain the party's favor. He is intelligent surely and speaks well. I would not vote for him at this time, I would go with Edwards of N.C. Everyone is jumping now on universal health care, where were they all when Hillary dumped it and hubby Bill got elected for it? Vote on who you think can make a difference in congress and no long term congress person with all those buddies.
