Will Mitt Romney be able to win the Republican nomination seeing as he once helped poor sick people?
Though Mitt Romney is considered to be a frontrunner for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination, the national spotlight has forced him to repeatedly confront a major skeleton in his political closet: that as governor of Massachusetts he once tried to help poor, uninsured sick people. Will he be able to get past the primaries with that negative mark on his GOP score card?
Public Comments
- Maybe he could kill somebody on live TV to show his bona fides.
- yes, his magic Mormon underpants will save him
- romney tried an experiment,it failed,i hope he learned something
- Compassion is not something GOP primary voters value. Greed, fake patriotism, arrogance are the only thing that matter to them. Chris Christie, trump, etc
- Well, lets see, first, he is a mormon, and alot of people believe that is a cult, How do we know that he wont take orders from their so called prophet, or rather PROFIT . Do you really want a cult running the nation? Not me! Second, He was in the running a few years ago, and HE QUIT. Would he quit on the country if times got worse? I mean "homey" has done a real "bang up job" so far,NOT!! So, Mitt the mormon aint gonna do any better.
- Romneycare has failed in MA. the reason he opposes obamacare is because it is based on Romneycare.
- Every candidate currently in the Republican Presidential field will have to confront a skeleton in their closet. Every one of them has endorsed, created, or passed legislation that is similar to things Obama has. " This President has been ineffectual, but hey I also passed an individual mandate for health care when I was governor" has a nice ring to it. Of course, the common response to questions is the new Republican mantra, "Oops, I made a mistake." "Running in the opposite direction of what we believe and the things we have accomplished! The GOP, 2012"
- No, Romney is already being thrown under the bus by the extreme right (Republican base).
