Why isnt Ron Paul President?

I do understand Ron Paul and I usually agree with his ideas but i do not understand why other politicians are not on the same page and why so many of them are against him. Why?

1. I like his fiscal policies, but I don't like his foreign policy or his law enforcement policy. I couldn't bring myself to vote for someone who wants to get rid of the CIA, the FBI, and just 'cut and run' from the middle east without finishing what we started.
2. Because like the majority of Americans they , unlike you, do not agree with Ron Paul. They recognize that if you have the economics of Dickensian England we will get the social problems of Dickensian England. They recognize that if we adopt an isolationist foreign policy (and don't say it is non-interventionist - removing ourselves from global treaties and organizations designed to address global problems is a great deal more than that) we will lose influence in the world.
3. He's a threat to the 2 party system because he challenges the status quo and exposes other politicians as the morons and thieves that they are. Apparently most Republicans wanted the pseudo-Republican John McCain as their nominee. I voted for Ron Paul in the primary.
4. that's easy you voted four to one promise change give you the most back ,that what's good for the country will promise to give you money back and take care .there's a lot of people can live off the government and guess who they will vote for the one that promises to most them .

6. He's too honest...brutally honest. It's a sad day in America when the media, (the idiot box....TV) chooses the candidate for you. They hated Ron Paul...in fact they never gave any third-party any recognition past the primaries. The Dems-Reps don't mind though...and they want to keep it that way.
7. Ron Paul is simply another republican. The guy is out there. Oh, he talks a good game, but his voting record tells it all.
8. He couldn't even win the Primary first! For some reason The Republicans chose McCain, which went on to choose Palin, which went on to a BIG LOSS in Nov. I'm a Democrat, and I wouldn't voted for Ron Paul anyway, but I did listen to him for a short time, and I did find some of his thinking very interesting. Ron Paul is a Republican, not a third Party interference. He ran in the "Republican Primary." There has been some reference about a 'Libertarian" but there is a R behind his name. If he had ran for President, I think I would've given him my ear though,but doubt very much my vote. Reason being, he still belongs to the Republican Party, so he must think pretty much their "thoughts" and that would stop me from voting for him.
9. his knowledge of economics is amazingly ignorant , apparently he doesn't have a clue about the fed his following of the austrian school is a disaster he is a creationist he is so removed from rationality he got any endorsements he is even more unknowledgeable than Palin Ron Paul's leadership would issue in a deep economic depression and a new dark age in science, Society and knowledge
10. Because Democrats and Republicans put their party first and their country second. It's backwards, and that is why our country is going downhill. Dems and repubs...you both suck.
11. Because he told the truth to the American people, but apparently the truth doesn't count anymore. People vote on emotion or just plain party loyalty, and the country made a very big mistake by not recognizing Ron Paul's value. We certainly wouldn't be in the position we are now had he been elected.

13. Because the media and parties convinced people 'he couldn't win' so they didn't want to 'waste their vote'. A self fulfilling prophecy if ever there was one.
14. Because most people are sheep and don't have enough knowledge of what a free society is. Also they don't have a clue as to what a free market is supposed to be and they actually think capitalism is the problem when government regulations and sanctions is the actual problem. Wake up people and smell the Fascism.
15. Because the media 'assassinated' him because he is not part of the global government plans.

Cause he is from texas and everybody thought of Bush! naw, let's see right off the bat he is baby doctor and has delivered over 4,000 so that right off the bat is going to can him with one group. then have you noticed about the only time a politician mentions anything to do with the economy is about a free bee or covering something they did. He on the other hand explains what is going on and what will happen and that's a no no. He has been on every financial show ans they keep bringing him back and say the same thing "YOU SAID THIS WOULD HAPPEN". In other words he knows what is going on and I think people want someone that doesn't know what is going on so they can pick someone to do that for them. Then he is not a good ole boy and a member of the CFR as the last ones and ones that ran are. Then he doesn't have 'shady" connections that he has to defend against. I tell you it was embarrassing to see the Reppublican primaries when the other candidates acted like children when he would speak adn make HISTORICALLY correct statements, I mean they didn't even know that. Now don't get me wrong but doubt if the Democratic ones would have either, but they did seem to be a little more reserved at the start. So it doesn't make sense, but he might try and do what the powers that be want to be done and then he would get the nod. He would have to compromise and know he wouldn't, but lets hope that the 39 and now the 55 in the House that have sided wth him contnues to grow for the countrys sake. Have a great 2009! Oh yea I am pretty sure he pays his taxes. Ha. ha.
17. I agree with most of His polices and I think he would of been a good choice for VP also, because he is not a mainstream politician. Much like president Obama, his agenda is not selfish or self centered and I suspect that is why most politicians shun and snub him...
