Will Mitt Romney be the next Reagan in 2012?
With Obama's dire actions and ultra liberal values, it seems that Mitt Romney will have a better chance in 2012: He lost because McCain is more well known and popular due to his history. I only hope Romney can take office after this Marxist nut is done destroying us.

- they say it takes 20 years to judge a presidency...how is Reagan looking these days?
- Nope. palin & jindal are supposed to be the next big things for the gop in 2012. mitt is history.
- If America elected a black muslim terrorist, I think they may consider voting for a Mormon.
- when the recession is over, Romney would be a good candidate for fiscal responsibility
- LOL!
- It depends on what bill of sales the elite media sells to the Libs...
- I don't believe so, for several reasons: 1. Unlike Ronald Reagan, Mitt Romney does not suffer from narcolepsy. 2. Unlike Ronald Reagan, if elected Mitt Romney would inherit a robust economy. 3. Unlike Ronald Reagan, Mitt Romney is a Mormon, so the Republican base will never, ever accept him as one of their own.
- Typical republican, living in the past . Reagan is long and gone.
- No, I hope Newt will run and pick Palin for VP
- I am a life long Boston resident (50+ years) and was lucky enough to have Mitt Romney as my governor. In fact he was a pretty good governor and did a lot for Massachusetts. Mitt Romney lost the Presidential race because the Christian right from the mid-west and south-west sunk his ship because Mitt is a Mormon. That is why Mitt Romney lost, and that is what he might face again in 2012. I'm a Republican but I was not for McCain or Palin. McCain is a self-admitted Progressive and not a real Republican. I would love to see Mitt Romney become president.
- I don't mind your political views, and I don't care if you hate Obama. But please, please, read up on Marxism. You'll see the distinction between Marxism and Liberal Democracy, and you'll see that they have little in common.
- We're fighting a war on terror, I don't think we should be wanting the next Reagan at this time.
- I would vote for him compared to what else is out there and what we have now but it is a long way until 2012. Who knows what will happen, we might be speaking Chinese by then.
- Romney is exactly what we need now but, he has no shot. He's too conservative for this country. Look at the last Republican field of candidates in the primary. The more conservative they were, the faster they fell. Provided the American people open their eyes, Bloomberg will be your next president and the first jew to hold the office. After having elected a mulato named 0'Bama, getting a jew named Bloomberg is not a stretch.
- i remember Mitt Romney when he lived in Michigan when his daddy was governor, Mitt was a VietNam protester a hippy draft dodger because of daddy. I would not want him to be ahead of the animal control department. he is One of the hard working republicans that wanted the auto industry to go into bankruptcy. And you do not know what your saying about your rants over the president.
- Yea why not as fast as this ball is rolling to hell ole Mitty boy can't hurt it
- OH God I hope not, he is the last person we need
- I like Mitt. But there were two things that really hurt his chances in the first place. 1. He's a Mormon. Like it or not the religion has a really polarizing Perception about what it believes and it kinda scares people who don't understand. 2. When he ran for Governor in Mass. he was for abortion rights and some form of Universal health care in his state. If not for those couple of issues I believe he just might be our commander and chief. As for a run in 2012 though possible, he'll still have to face the same couple of mountains. Either way I just hope Obama Spend-a-lot is booted out before our country is completely destroyed.
- Mitt Romney is an ignoramus. He doesn't understand what it's like to not be rich. His "cabin" in Utah -- about the size of the White House -- was robbed, and they had to bring in a "jewelry consultant" to see what was taken. He said at last year's Republican Convention that we need to get rid of "a liberal Washington" and bring in "a conservative Washington." Who the hell did he think was running Washington for eight years? Bush and Cheney are no liberals! He also ripped "Eastern elites" in that speech. I see, so the Governor of Massachusetts is NOT an Eastern elite? And do you know why he didn't run for a second term as Governor? Because he knew he was going to get his head handed to him by a black man. Deval Patrick, who not only shares Obama's views, but apparently even shared a speechwriter. Romney's Lt. Governor, Kerry Healey, was slaughtered at the polls; Romney would have been as well. He knew this, the coward, but I guess that means he's not a total ignoramus. Obama would do to him what Patrick did to Healey. If you think Romney is "another Reagan," then that's the best reason yet not to vote for him. Read "Tear Down This Myth" by Will Bunch of the Philadelphia Daily News: You'll see that not only was Reagan incredibly destructive to this country, but that he wouldn't have won the 2008 Republican nomination, either. The other candidates would've called him a "liberal" and a "tax-hiker" and an "appeaser" and a "cut-and-runner." You're looking for a Ronald Reagan that never really existed. The one we got was damaging enough, thank you, and the American people do NOT want another! Who do you think gave al-Qaeda, the Taliban and Saddam Hussein the weapons they used against us?
- do you mean will Romney increase government spending and triple the debt? Because that's what Reagan did.
- As someone mentioned, I think the party higher ups are trying to "force" Jindal & Palin. While it's great the party wants a man of color & a woman in the running, the "it" factor has to be there (Charisma, speaking skills etc.). People might not want to believe it, but the Presidency is often just as much a popularity contest (judged on how we present ourselves) as it is based upon their knowledge & experience (which is why Obama trumped Hillary). When I look at Jindal, I think of Ron Paul / Ross Perot..goofy looking guys who I wouldn't want to be the face of America to the world and lets be honest people will judge Palin as a MILF and because she is reasonable attractive we will think she is a mental midget (because attractive females must of course be airheads). Romney would be a good choice but the issue is his getting him past the Republican primaries. In the general election he would do good but you have to get their first and the Southern hick States have a serious issue with his religion. It sucks but thats reality.
- I don't like Romney's vibe, nor that he put his dog on top of his car! But I guess I could dig deeper if I had to, eccch to all of 'em!
