Is it true that Congressman Ron Paul and Senator John McCain have NEVER asked for earmarks?

if it is true, how do they keep their jobs if they don't bring home the pork?

6. Ron Paul did ask for several hundred thousand dollars of earmarks for his district in Texas. It has gotten out of control on both sides.
7. If you do a Google search on McCain's earmarks you will find that he has been involved in many of them. That's why Rush was so critical of him during the election. McCain is not a true Republican but is really a Rino.

9. In terms of Ron Paul I think it's because people understand what earmarks are all about in Texas - he has explained his reasoning to his constituents. It's like the farm subsidy which he explains in his 20/20 interview - you can find it on You Tube. The farm subsidy winds up going to corporate farmers and actually hurts the family farms. I don't know if he has never taken an earmark but I know he said he would do away with them if elected.
