What religion is Barack Obama from?

I dont know with certainty his religion i mean ive heard of him being a muslin and other things but I dont really know his religion so if anyone knows and is kind enough to tell me please do so God Bless You All oh also ive heard some poeple mention that he is a Christian but he is a Jehova´s witness which i dont believe but i rather have someone else tell me than keeping this doubt to myself.

25. He's a professed Christian. He's clearly pretty liberal about his religion, but I do think he takes it seriously in his own way. The whole thing about being a Muslim got started because his father was a non-practicing Muslim, and Islam claims all offspring of Muslim fathers, even when there has been no practice for two generations. Just like Judaism claims all offspring of Jewish mothers, whether they even know that there mothers are Jewish. If their mother converted or was non-observant, I'm not sure, but I think they are still considered Jews. Christianity does not go by what your parents were, because it is not considered to be genetic in any way. Christianity has always been a religion of converts.

27. Obama attends a Protestant church and kind of lives like a Christian in some ways. I don't know for sure if he's really a follower of Jesus or a nominal Christian, though. He's certainly not Catholic. If he was....I don't think the pope would go as far as excommunicating a sitting US president, but he'd consider it. Obama's father is part Middle Eastern and part African, but he wasn't around at all when Barack was growing up. I don't know what religion his dad is. Barack Obama didn't meet his dad until he was an adult, so it doesn't really matter. He grew up in an environment that was at least nominally Christian and has never in his life been a Muslim, flirted with Islam, or remotely considered becoming a Muslim. It's not an option that he has ever considered and it's not ever going to happen. There's a good chance that he has a bit more respect for Muslims than the average Christian, but that's a good thing, not a bad thing.

All i can say is that i read an article where ppl were upset b/c the church he and his wife attended was a church that promoted black ppl as far as business, communities initiatives etc etc.. basically betterment for blacks.. i for one dont think its anything wrong with that, and whatever his denomination is is non of my business, as a believer the man could be atheist for all i care..
