Why do the vast majority of Ron Paul supporters respond to criticism by insulting the person making it?

Whenever i say something even slighty negative about Ron Paul on a forum, video on Youtube or whatever, they just insult me, instead of having a rational discussion.

  1. Insult, then block you like a childish game of last tag
  2. Because whats bad to say about Ron Paul it must be really uninformed statements. That gets those kind of answers. I am not a Ron Paul person but I hear he is a strong Constitutionalists and that is a very good thing.
  3. I don't notice that a vast majority do that. How do you arrive at a "vast majority" anyway? I support him and can whip any liberal or fake conservative/neocon in a debate. I've written in to talk show hosts and usually I am not challenged and am waiting for a decent argument against Ron Paul or any libertarian views based on facts and principle.
  4. thats not true, Ron Paul supporters are much more educated on politics than libs/neocons. I will debate you on anything you have to say about Ron Paul and come out on top. Just try me.
  5. I am a Ron Paul supporter, but I never do that type of stuff. We just have to get very defensive when people disregard the Constitution as a useless piece of paper, and sacrifice their liberties for security. Without the government, there would be no freedom. It is best to force our elected officials to obey it, rather than ignore it. Take care.
