Qualities of Joe Biden that made him a good running mate?

In your opinion, what are characteristics of Joe Biden that made him a good running mate to Obama? And how did it help Obama in the long run?

1. He's dead from the neck up. He's also a plagiarist, which increased Obamas staff of plagiarist.
2. He's such a babbling idiot he almost makes other babbling idiots look less foolish.
3. His most positive feature is that he wasn't a polarizing negative. Bland to the point of invisible.
4. Zero. No karisma whatsoever! The New World Order just threw him in there like Obama.

7. The best thing I can say about Joe Biden is that at least he can alot less damage as VP, sitting around all day, basically doing nothing, than he would now be doing as Secretary of State. Obama offered him the choice between those two positions and he chose VP. Understand something. Biden was the architect behind the disasterous foriegn policy that went on during the Carter years. He has a clear track record of spectacular failure.

Here goes: --He's a long-serving member of Congress who knows his way around Washington --He represents an east coast state (Delaware) that balances out Obama's mid-west focus --He's not a man of extreme political viewpoints, and less likely to polarize the voters --They knew and respected each other as fellow US Senators, and knew they could work with each other
