Is Obama Global Warming Czar really going to represent the best interest of the USA?

Until last week, Carol M. Browner, President-elect Barack Obama's pick as global warming czar, was listed as one of 14 leaders of a socialist group's Commission for a Sustainable World Society, which calls for "global governance" and says rich countries must shrink their economies to address climate change. By Thursday, Mrs. Browner's name and biography had been removed from Socialist International's Web page, though a photo of her speaking June 30 to the group's congress in Greece was still available. Socialist International, an umbrella group for many of the world's social democratic political parties such as Britain's Labor Party, says it supports socialism and is harshly critical of U.S. policies. So we have a socialist running the newly created global warming office. Will she really be on the side of the USA since socialists are extremely critical of the USA to begin with ? 13. I'm really tired of American's screaming socialism all the time when the majority of them don't even know what socialism is. The majority of the people voted for Obama, so obviously he does represent the "best interests" of America. As the US ideologically though, no president has really represented the entire Idea of the US in over a 100 years. The US was originally a Classical Libertarian country. Both the modern Democratic Party and the modern Republican Party don't represent the US as it was as an idea. Hell, even the modern Libertarian party doesn't even represent the US ideals.

26. The purpose of someone addressing the problem of global warming is to address the problem of global warming, not issues of economy. It's the system itself which balances itself out in the end--that's the principle behind free exchange of ideas, which is essentially nothing more than the intellectual version of the free market. 29. Carol Browner is one of Obama's worst appointments. I recall that under Clinton she was head of the EPA, and was notorious for talking to people like she was talking to a bunch of 3rd graders. Her arrogance and condescension were repulsive, but typical of liberals. Now she is in a position to drastically hurt our economy by promoting anti-capitalist policies designed to fix a problem that doesn't exist--man-made global warming.

The Global Warming scam was always intended to create a new form of global taxation in the way of fines and credit purchasing to create a new way for the rich and powerful to skim money and redistribute wealth on a global basis. 38. We've had global warming for over 10,000 years ever since the peak of the last Ice Age. OK there was that little blip called the Little Ice Age but over all temperatures have been climbing. I love the corporate demonizers who don't understand that contracting economy does NOT equal upper class taking it in the shorts, it equals the lower and middle classes dealing with unemployment, lower wages, lower standard of living. You would think that since we are in a recession (contracting economy) they would at least see that but they prefer to think that contracting economy does not effect them.
