are there any legal issues that either Barack Obama or Rick Warren can face ?
because Warren will deliver the invocation during Obama's inauguration? I am racking my brain, but the only thing I can think of is he will lose popularity with the Gay community and it could hurt his chances of being re-elected. Any smart people out there know any legal issues he could face because of this decision?

- no.
- No. Barack Obama is just trying to be include any and all kinds of people, no matter what the race creed or color. I personally don't see anything wrong with that. Go Obama.
- No. His decision is immoral, not illegal. People who have been the targets of discrimination have paid a huge price and their suffering should take priority in decision-making. By now, there should be no room for people who discriminate. That discriminatory people have elevated Rick Warren to a position of power within the fundamentalist Christian community is sad because Jesus didn't want us to cast stones and mistreat others as Rick Warren has done. That Barack Obama has elevated a person like Rick Warren to a speaking role in his inauguration shows extremely poor judgment. The Constitution of the United States guarantees homosexuals the right to marry, just like it guaranteed blacks the right to attend the same schools as whites and to ride the bus in the same manner as whites. Rick Warren seems to feel that his own personal belief system should carry more weight than the Constitution and therefore his is an inappropriate person to participate in an important governmental function. At best, if Obama is interested in the inclusion of prejudicial people, he could have invited Rick Warren to visit the White House, but not to participate in an inauguration. This was a huge error in judgment on Obama's part and I am concerned that there will be more errors coming.
