how do you know the religion of barack obama?

just wondering nothing else..... ihear people say he is muslim and they are sure and vise versa...

2. *Cheers* He is a Christian. Those who say he is a Muslim are ignorant racists who most likely live in a home with wheels.

4. How do you know? Because he said so. The only thing you can believe about a person's religion is what they personally choose to share. Barack Obama was born to a muslim family, and was muslim until he was a whopping THREE YEARS OLD. When you're that age, you can barely stand on your own two feet, much less choose a religious path that will affect the rest of your life. Since then, he has been Christian. In my opinion that isn't any better, but it's more comforting to the general American populace.
5. I guess the same way I would find out the religion of my next door neighbour: either ask him listen to him, or find out where he worships. He claims to be Christian, he has aways worshipped in Christian churches - so we take for granted he is a Christian. The only people who have implied he is anything else are people who have wanted to oppose him at any cost. Now that the election campaign is over, that kind of talk has pretty much disappeared.
6. What you hear is a straw man that hasn't been torn down. It isn't ignorance speaking, but hatred and bigotry. And, religion is the scape goat being used to try to convince people that the President-elect is a bad person. They haven't realized that the supreme court has turned down the request to hear complaints about his citizenship and Hawaii has confirmed that its birth record is correct for him.
7. Did you happen to miss the whole story about the minister in the Christian church he belonged to? I think it's fairly safe to assume that Muslims don't spend decades in Christian churches.
