Why do people think Obama is going to change its stance on Israel considering these facts?
1. The Vice-President to be is a self-confessed Zionist and a member of Israeli-American govt group (you can find him talking about him being a zionist on you-tube) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_positions_of_Joe_Biden#Israel 2. The first person Obama appointed. The Chief of Staff is both Israeli and American citizen and flew jets for Israel and his middle name is Israel http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rahm_Emanuel 3. Obama is the first President to say that Jerusalem MUST be completely Israeli http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_positions_of_Barack_Obama#Israel . BY THE WAY This isn't a complaint. I am a Zionist and support Israel. I just don't understand why people think Obama will be any different SORRY That should be self-described NOT self-confessed I apologize

- That is because most Americans listen to what the media tells them. They have an innability to think
- Hope.
- Jews rule the world by hook or crook what can Obama do different
- You are correct and why should he. It was either America or Canada who registered Hamas as a terrorist group in 1995 so it would not be a good idea to support a group who they label terrorists. I too support Israel because hamas's goal is to wipe out all jews and that is something that i cannot support no matter how poorly armed and trained hamas are.
- While the Bush administration has been generally supportive of Israel it has largely been passive until too late in the day to make any progress on peace. I expect Hillary Clinton to be far more proactive and if - a big if - Israel can effectively put Hamas out of business there is some hope that a two state solution could be negitiated with Fatah. Surely the residents of Gaza must long for peace.
- why should he have anything to do with israel, why doesnt he just leave em to settle their differences?
- "The beat goes on. As with his economic and security appointments, Obama again disappointed but didn't surprise. Without exception, his team assures business as usual, a near-seamless transition from George Bush, and not "change to believe in." His latest choices raise more cause for concern and with good reason. "
- I do not think there is really a clear cut answer to your question, but someone has to do something some time soon. We just have to hope ,trust ,and pray.
- The hope that a dynamic law professor president will manage to do better than an ex-alcoholic cowboy presdident? He's said that he will have a lot to say on the issue, we just need to wait to find out what that is
- Obama will support the jews, after all whole america is run by and for the jews, he is already so far up th..r ar.. only his shoes are to be seen
- because if he isn't they will criticise him and say he is just like bush etc if he doesn't do what they wants it is because the jews rule the USA ..... he is an israeli puppet etc if he does he is a hero ..... he would also be strengthening the islamic terrorist stance in the middle east and elsewhere ....these people do not need or deserve support
- Well franky if you think we're run by jews then I say way better than the muslims!
- didnt obama go to a muslim school at some point? anyways US's stand wont change regarding Israel. If it did, the Arab world would swallow Israel. And yes, Israel is nuclear.
- I think an awaful lot of people are going to be severly disappointed with Obama. Think about the pressure he must be under. The black power people whispering in his ear about rights for the black man, he military whispering in his ear about more cash, his own party wanting him to be a moderate and impress the electorate, the financiers whispering in his ear about the help and deregulation they need, international leaders whispering in his ear about what he can do for them, and so on and so on. When all along, the only thing that Obama will do is exactly what the true leaders of the USA (the money men) tell him. Which is probably exactly what Bush is already doing. So stand by for a lack of miracles from the new white house residents.
- Its off to the confessional then!
- woof woof
