If Obama or McCain are elected who fills in their spot as Senator?

According to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_biden), Joe Biden is running as Vice President and also for his senate seat. It says the governor would appoint someone to serve 2 years of his term if he won Senate reelection and became Vice President. What about Obama or McCain? The same? Their governor selects someone to complete their term?
