Why is Ron Paul never mentioned in the media, except that he wins straw polls and debates?

Are there enough people to support him to win the party nomination?

Public Comments

  1. Hopefully.
  2. Possibly because the 5 guys that own all the media in this country don't like it when some guy is calling them out on all the crap that they're a part of.
  3. You pretty much answered your own questions. He is not mentioned much because there are not enough people behind him to win the nomination. He has a small grass roots following but has no major support from politicians or big business.
  4. Actually, he's gotten quite a bit of media coverage. But he still doesn't stand a chance of getting the nomination.
  5. He just doesn't have enough backing (or money)- to make him a serious Candidate. It's sad- but Real.
  6. Ron Paul, while an effective congressman, is in no danger of ever becoming president. He is a naive fool when it come to matters of foreign policy. That's all it takes to ensure he will never assume higher office. Ultimately it's his inability to stay clear of fringe idiot conspiracy groups and inflammatory talk show hosts (Alex Jones) that has sealed his coffin. Too bad...he really is a fiscal conservative. And he only wins straw polls and debates due to a fanatic base that skews internet results. Not indicative of any real ability to sway actual public opinion.
  7. Mitt Romney's campaign only had 35 percent more cash than Ron Paul after subtracting debts on 06/30/2007. Romney's contributions from individuals dropped by a third from the first quarter to the second quarter. Paul's contributions almost quadrupled from Q1 to Q2.
  8. Not after what I saw last night. He sounded as though he got lost on the way to the democrats' debate.
  9. What victory. He blamed us for 9/11. He said he would literally rip up the good and bad parts of government. How did he win the debate? And don't say he won the Fox call in poll about who the debate. Thats BS.
  10. The man is an unmitigated idiot. He doesn't have a chance to even run.
  11. The media doesn't feel Ron Paul's a serious candidate. They want to concentrate on the ones they feel have a chance of winning.
