Should Senator Barack Obama be classified under the "Green Party"?
Since Obama is all for renewable energy and a lot of "greener" ideas, should he be under the Green Party instead of the Democratic Party? Rob, I understand McCain's views for "clean coal" and oil drilling and stuff. But by many environmentalists and viewers, Obama's views are better for the environment.
Public Comments
- Maybe both.
- No, because he does not have the values of the Green party.
- I thought he was Black?
- He should get out of our politics and move back to Kenya. That is where his loyalties lie anyway.
- Yes, green party after green banner of holy prophet Mohamed.
- no, because he is a democrat. Third party will get you nowhere if you want to change the world you need to change the majority not make another majority. I like him better than any other that Ive had a chace to vote for but to win the votes he would need to stay green and democrat. democrats are the lesser of the two evils and green is lesser but not perfect. totally green would mean everyone throwing away technology and living in the woods Barack lives in a house too hes just like us.
- The Green Party stands for a lot more than environmental issues, and most of their stances make Obama look like a conservative.
- Hardly! More like the Socialist Party USA, or the Opportunist Party.
- Both candidates have the same "green" ideas. McCain just understands that you can't spend trillions trashing a nation's infrastructure because gas is $4. / gallon. Obama just pipes out what people want to hear; even if its implementation isn't feasible. The truth is that alternative energy will become a reality when its time has come. Research is under way whether Obama or McCain wins. If gas goes back down to $2/gallon all of the whining will stop; solar stock will retreat, but research will continue. Other countries are buying the stuff, so when we're ready for it, corporate America will make the transition.
