What are your thoughts about raising young children in the White House?
I know it's been done, but what about it? Is it more difficult now than ever before to be a parent engaged in the lives of your young children while you are the President? Obama has two daughters and although John McCain has two older sons serving in the military, he has a younger adopted daughter as well.

- they will be brainwashed as their IQ decrease
- I think honestly, they would become spoiled and yet lonely because they would have to be protected. children with parents like the President, are always being watched. it puts pressure on the child. the other side to this would be that they would be offered more opportunities. for example, like private schools and more elite colleges.
- The last child in the White House was Amy Carter. Things were hard for her then, just think of it now. At least back then, a "terrorist" was not thought to be someone who wanted to die by blowing something up. The White House is NO place to raise a child today. The president's children, should there be any, would have to be raised somewhere else, by someone else, while the person was still in office. Someone the children know, and the president knows and could trust. Of course, the children could visit the president, but they should NOT live there. It just isn't safe for children anymore.
- Chelsea turned out OK. Living with Secret Service every minute must be a bitch though
