Has John McCain ever addressed or even publicly recognized the problem of growing health care costs?

I guess he can get away with it over in right wing world, but the primaries are over, and John McCain's stance on health care seems to be "survival of the fittest". Am I the only one who doesn't think that will fly until the general election? Maybe the fact that he's been insured by the federal government for his entire natural life has protected him from realizing just how expensive insurance is.

  1. NO - and now he is talking about raising taxes - so what excuse will people use now for NOT supporting Obama. It's starting to appear that McBush is favoring a lot of the same things Obama has been saying..........troop withdrawal, tax increase.
  2. yes he believe in a free market
  3. You'd think he'd be more concerned about health care, considering he could get a lot of support from seniors. I guess they may start looking to Obama.
  4. He's a Senator. he gets free health care and pays no taxes. what concern.
  5. McCain is the worst hypocrite going. Why does he get a disability pension?
  6. It's all right at your fingertips. click search
  7. his plan is a variation of the same......... free enterprise system........and open market........ cost containment is the underlying premise......... his plan actually puts the burden of payment for all on the individual.........if he can get it insurance at all........ BO on the other hand wants working American....... actually the young.........to pay for an plan for all......... problem with that is the young don't need it (usually) with the exception of pregnancy.......... I find it totally asinine that the England has had national health care since 1947 or 1948, Germany has had it since 1883, the new Iraqi constitution calls for national health care, and we have not figured how to take the best from all the plans out their, fix the bad and come up with the right plan for young, middle aged and seniors. Yet, illegal immigrants can cross our boarders and have babies for free, heart surgery for free etc.. Certainly they are human beings etc.., BUT, our own citizens are turned away due to lack of funds or insurance while these folks get needed care......... Neither BO or McCain have the right answer on this......... McCain's answers are better than what we have now, but are not the solution BO tells us what should be, according to him........not the solution either..........
  8. Yes. And Universal/Socialized Health Care is NOT the answer. It will be a Titanic sized disaster. The dead will vastly outnumber the survivors, the resources (life boats) will be insufficient in numbers and poorly utilized. Only the rich will be able to use them and the poor will continue to drown. Those who think that Socialized Health care is the answer are stupid (yeah, you heard me right). Britain has a National plan for the last 60 years with a population of 30 million (we have 300 million) and they can't get it right. Many pay for supplemental policies because they get the cheapest of the cheap when it comes to health care. The word QUALITY does not apply. People in Canada wait up to a year to be seen by specialists for minor things like BRAIN TUMORS. How many people have been complaining since WWII about the deplorable health care at our VAs? People, THAT'S what your National Health Care is going to look like. Only bigger, more expensive, more bloated, longer waits, worse care.
  9. he figures, if we all spend our lives serving our country in the armed forces, like he did, we'd all have good health care.
