Is it true that Senator John McCain voted no on SCHIP?
Senator John McCain is rated worst senator for children. McCain has missed 57 percent of Senate votes this session, being absent or voting “present” for 8 out of 10 children-related votes. McCain voted “yes” to increase the minimum wage; his only other vote was voting “no” on SCHIP reauthorization on Aug. 2, 2007 http://thinkprogress.org/2008/02/27/mccain-children/

- Why ask if you know the answer.
- Good for him. Maybe if he gets elected President, we'd have some remote chance of having the government screw up the health care system a little less than it already is. Actually, Michael M, he voted against the Farm Bill.
- SCHIP would have created free care for the already insured, and would have been expanded to cover more than children. Terribly written bill that was destined to be defeated.
- This is ironic because I bet he will vote for Farm bill to cover this fact up. He will probably say farm children staving is just not right.(Yeah , right., I hate to say this , but I might reconsider my change of vote for him, but it will not go for Obama unless he chooses Hillary as VP or does something real spectacular like being for my favorite issue)
