Do you think Mitt Romney will have a chance next election?

Personally, I don't like Obama or McCain, but McCain's pretty much got it in the bag. I really liked Mitt Romney though, and I would much prefer him over McCain or Obama. Reagan didn't win his first primary he was in in '76, but in the '80s election he came through. Do you think Romney may have a shot next time around like Reagan?

  1. ROMNEY 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. There a very good chance that he will be the VP nominee. It's my personal prediction :D
  3. If you think McCain's got it in the bag, you're delusional. IMHO, neither one has it in the bag. Romney will not run again.
  4. Two factors come to mind regarding Mitt Romney's quest to the White House: 1) Better management of his campaign than his past production within the Republican Nomination process; 2) Paramounting the religious bigotry that exist in America. Somehow, Romney is going to have to do something to stimulate negatives into positives regarding the GOP Christian Evangelicals, who distrust Mormonism.
  5. Hope so----he is a fine choice.
  6. There is a very good chance that McCain will win, and his VP will run for 2012. Go Mitt. He was an excellent governor, and over 60% of the people in a liberal state voted for him.
  7. Mitt Romney = Dan Quayle Mitt Romney has no critical thinking skills. He embarrassed himself on national TV by stating vehemently that he was against nonproliferation because it was a "liberal issue." And that's not his first or only bonehead statement. People make fun of Bush's misstatements but for the most part Bush just got the words crossed up. Bush's funny remarks were not always indicators of how he thought or actually governed. Mitt Romney's goony statements are actually about substance and that's scary. He's a moron. Considering Romney for any position of responsibility but most especially for President-in-Waiting is plenty scary. The Republican Party does not seem to be looking out for its own best interests lately so it won't surprise me if he does get named to the ticket.
  8. Mitt Romney is a joke!
  9. That would be nice. I think a big reason why he might've lost was because he was distrusted by Evangelicals because up until 2004 he was a bleeding heart liberal and because Dobson supported Huckabee over Romney. Just imagine if Romney had carried the South instead of Huckabee. He would've had almost twice as many delegates. Maybe he would've kept going. If in 2012 Romney can convince the Christian Right that he truly is one of them and there is no one else for them to rally around I think he could stand an excellent chance. In the mean time maybe he could be VP...
  10. Never say Never, personally I am a registered Democrat in a state whereby, if declared, one can not switch in the primary. I voted for Obama in my states primary. If I had a chance to vote for Romney, I would have, for the simple reason, he has a true understanding of economics. I respect that. i think that is what this country needs right now. I also think he ran a terrible campaign. If it was his fault or not I can't say. I do not know. I do think he would have been a good President. He is smart and has good judgment, but his campaign was lousy, in my opinion In a way as far as Presidential politics are concerned, maybe the running of a campaign should be a judge of how one can govern. A sort of Presidential politics 101 whereby, if a candidate can not do that correctly maybe they would not have been successful as President. I do hope in a way I would have a chance to vote for him some day, but who knows?
  11. I much rather see Huckabee as McCain's VP. Mitt is a mormon. He's not even a Christian.
  12. HE may not get the far right Christian vote -I have heard some say that they think Mormons are just under Muslims and they do not think of Mormons as Christians -or they are more like a cult religion. Just what I have heard - no offense to the Mormons from me. But Obama will win never the less.
  13. There are so many people who would like to see that happen. Personally, I don't think I would vote for him. I am a true believer in the Christian faith, call me a baised person, but, that's my strength in life. However, there are always people who will vote for him. He seems to be a fine man, intelligent and well respected by most Republicans. It is my understanding that he is on the short list of VP for John McCain. Although I have a strong feeling that Sen. McCain will be choosing someone that no one really expected, but that we'll all be pleased with his decision....!!!
