How can John McCain blame Barack Obama for high gas prices?
In a new political commercial, John McCain blatantly says "want somebody to blame for high gas prices?" then shows a picture of Barack Obama. But only TWO WEEKS AGO, McCain said in a speech, "Our dependency on foreign oil has been 60 years in the making." According to the McCain Campaign, Barack Obama has done nothing of value while in Congress.. so how can he be at fault for high gas prices? I mean really.. make up your mind John McCain. The old fart is just grasping at straws now. Am I right? If you make then 100,000 dollars a year and you are planning on voting for John McCain, you might be a redneck. off-shore drilling is a scam to make more money for oil companies. if you can't see that, you must be blind. Look, Republican admit that off-shore drilling won't effect gas prices for at least ten years. But it will start earning profits for oil companies, immediately. In the mean time, Republicans say that within 15 years, they would like to no longer be using oil.. because they want to be using electricity, wind power and nuclear power. So what is the point of drilling if we're not going to need it when it is ready, in 10 years. Geeze, people in America are so stupid. I blame Fox News. To Hobbes.. my question has nothing to do with Me.. i have a BS in Computer Science and two good jobs.. i am not jealous of successful people, but i am sad that so many successful people are only successful because of who their parents are, or who they know.. NOT hard work. Which is why America is ran by rich idiots.. and that is why you are paying 4.25 per gallon for gas. DUH Bush has probably vetoed more bills then any other President.. I don't feel like fact checking that, but I wouldn't be surprised. typos and grammar are two different things. most people understood what I meant to say, so I guess that means you're below average.

- Leave the senile old fart alone. He's older than dirt, not his fault he poops in his Pampers.
- Im pretty sure any "redneck" that makes 100k a year doesn't really care.
- Well, let's see...Obama is a senator in the democrat-controlled congress. The democrat-controlled congress has done nothing to help the high gas prices. Hmmm, McCain sounds pretty consistant. There is a difference between what caused the problem ("60 years in the making") and what we should do to fix the problem (Obama has done nothing). So your argument is pretty lame.
- If you make then 100,000 dollars a year and you are planning on voting for John McCain, you might be a redneck. Are you jealous of successful people? Your probably one of those lazy welfare cases aren't you?
- Obama is UNWILLING to consider immediate expansion of oil and gas exploration and drilling as part of a COMPREHENSIVE energy independence plan. By eliminating that part of a plan, Obama is ignoring the fact that in the short and intermediate terms, until we can develop economically viable and deliverable alternative energy, our economy is still heavily dependent on petroleum based products. Therefore, he is PART of the PROBLEM. Further, he is misleading the public by telling them that America can place its HOPE on alternative energy when this stuff is still on the drawing boards. Nothing will CHANGE immediately in our economy unless we begin to drill here and now. Obama is to blame for not having a responsible energy program.
- because Republicans can't seem to ever admit their own mistakes.
- the same way Bush thinks the war in Iraq was because of Weapons of mass destruction. It is a distraction ... duuu that is politics, silly as it may be it is business as usual in Washington. PS - I have a 6 figure income and I am not voting for ether of em.
- Those republican lies worked SO WELL for SO LONG! Republicans could tell any stupid lie imaginable and this country would buy it, hook, line and sinker. So Obama's being responsible for the gas prices is another of those fantastic, stupid lies. McCain tells the lies and fully expects that the American people will just continue to eat them whole. I have a hunch those times are over - republicans are all done now - they're old news.
- I dunno.
- Mc Cain and Bush disagree on Mc Donald's new "Mc Bush Sandwich. Bush feels the meat they should use is lame duck, while Mc Cain favors the same old ham in a new wrapper.
- Another Obama supporter stooping to the lowest level of bringing age into the debate. How about sharing what Obama has done to help the situation? as far as I can see all he does is deliver a great speech... talk, talk talk. But he actions speak louder than words. He's an empty suit and now I'm not a McCain supporter... just can't stand the hypocrisy of the Obama campaign.
- I agree with you a 110% you are absolutly correct. Its not the fact that people are so dumb that would bring up somthing as meanless as taxes. Look in front of you if you are making less than 100000 a yr you are getting poorer you are losing money you have to pay more for food and gas your property value is going lower and lower. Also I really do get annoyed when people say that the democratic congress isnt doing anything when you have President Veto Bush in office what can you do???
- "If you make then 100,000 dollars a year . . ."? What does that mean? For someone who claims to be so intelligent, your grammar sucks. More domestic drilling will not have an immediate effect on gasoline prices, but it will make the country less dependent on foreign sources. As oil has been a strategic commodity over over a century, having our own sources would be a good thing. As for alternative energy sources, I am all for it. With expansion in oil drilling and the building of new refineries, the oil companies should be obligated to fund more wind and solar powered generators. I also believe that we should build more nuclear power plants; there has not been a single civilian nuclear power plant developed in nearly thirty years. That is not the fault of the big oil companies, but environmental movements. >I understood what you meant, but I would think that anybody with a BS in computer science would know how to type on a computer.
- Yes, McCain is grabbing at straws here, it's funny, here we have one senator blaming another senator... Playing the blame game, passing the buck, making statements then flip flopping on them... Where has his dignity gone... Blame Obama, for Iran threatening to shut off oil supply, blame Obama for China and emerging countries using more oil, blame Obama for oil being speculated commodity... Get a life, McCain....
- The McCain people are desperate.
