Is Rudy Giuliani now being a Red Sox fan going to hurt him in New York?

When giving a speech the night before last in Boston, Rudy said he was rooting for the Red Sox in the World Series. Maybe only diehard baseball fans understand but this is a no-no. What do you think?

  1. That isn't going to hurt his chances in New York as much as his time as Mayor did.
  2. I was wondering that myself, especially since he once said he would never root for the Red Sox. I guess he's just a flip-flopping traitor!
  3. Maybe to those who think that this kind of thing is important. I would prefer it if those people root for the Yankees but refrain from voting.
  4. I don't think he has much of a chance anyway it looks like it's either Hillary or obama. Maybe it will hurt him a bit.
  5. He wasn't gonna win NY anyway, and he certainly is not winning MA. This is a non-issue.
  6. What he really said was he was routing for the red sox because he wanted the american league to win. I still say between him and Hillary he is the lesser evil.
  7. New Yorkers already hate him. Anyway, like lots of die-hards, he goes with the League - he said the only NL team he'd root for is the Mets.
  8. all politicians lie to get votes. could be a little mistake, but maybe it could work out
  9. He's rooting for the American League team because he favors that league over the National League. Get the story straight.
  10. Any Yankees fan will tell you you can root for only 2 teams... The Yankees and anyone playing the Red Sox. I guarantee you if he has the balls to attend another Yankee game they will boo him out fo the stadium. The Bronx Cheer is nothing compared to the various things that will be thrown at him. And besides, anyone who lived here while he was mayor will tell you that he is scum bag to the fullest degree. Its a joke that he's running on the 9/11 platform, since if you ask the FDNY they'll ask what it was he did that was so heroic besides posture in front of the cameras.
  11. who cares?
  12. He has always been held in low regard here. He couldn't even run again because he knew he wouldn't get re elected for mayor. He never stood a chance here for that office, how much less would he have stood for president? He had nothing to lose and New England to gain by saying something that would make New Yorkers disgusted with him. I'm not a diehard baseball fan, haven't been since they turned Ebbets Field into low income housing. Damn the O'Malley.
  13. He would never win that morally bankrupt state any way. They call them blue states for a reason - because they blow!
  14. first he changes from a Dem to a rep now to a sox's fan from a yankees fan. how can you trust the man?
  15. Giuliani is a typical politician who will say and do anything only with the selfish intention of getting votes. Most Bostonians are smart enough to spot a phony when they see one.......and smart enough to figure out exactly who is the best candidate to be our next President.
