How much time did Rudy Giuliani actually spend at ground zero?

"Rudy Giuliani is facing tough scrutiny for equating his 9/11 experience to those of the 9/11 rescuer workers. On at least three occasions, Giuliani has said that he faced comparable risk and similar hours. His mayoral archive [courtesy of the New York Times] tells a different story: from mid-September to December of 2001, he spent roughly 29 hours at the site. Rescue workers at the time were regularly putting in 12 hours a day." All I've seen him do is parade around about 9/11, how come he doesn't mention this? 29 hours.......

  1. I don't really think it matters how much time he was there, he was not there to rescue people or recover bodies as the responders were.
  2. If he took the same exact risks and spent as much time as he said he did down there, HE WOULD BE SICK LIKE THOSE EMERGENCY WORKERS CURRENTLY ARE!!! Yes, I "Yelled", but I want to make sure that people read that. If there is ONE thing that gets me ticked, it is when Emergency workers are not given their fair shake. And with so many of them sick from working at ground zero, and the denial of those sicknesses via the government (including by Mr. Drag queen) makes me very angry. He needs to stop touting 9/11 because it makes him look like nothing more than an *ss.
  3. Not as much time as he'd like you to believe. As Mayor, he should have been there a lot that was his job, but most of his time was being a tour guide for various officials. He takes pot shots at Hillary about her time spent there, but her job covers all of New York, his was just the city of New York. It's a tired old ploy of his and he should be ashamed of equating his time there with the responders in any way!
  4. I just heard on news he was there alot and visited some family's , he showed alot of compassion ,it was terrible what he had to deal with I would nt want to be in his shoes !
  5. 9/11 is the only thing he has to run on. If 9/11 had never happened, you can bet that Guiliani would not be running. It has been slipping out little by little on certain newscasts that he wasn't there nearly as much as he says. And since the sick rescue workers are backing Hillary because she tried to make sure they got proper medical care, 9/11 may end up helping her and be Rudy's undoing.
  6. I know I saw him a few times at ground zero, but I never saw him with a shovel or in the ash. Not saying he should work, but for as much as he touts being there, he probably should have. I do know that he was at a bunch of Yankee games afterwards. A video from the fire dept. union on "Rudy Ghoul-iani", saying that Rudy was the cause of the deaths of many fire fighters. Basically, many radio malfunctions could attributed to him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vaCYEEO-58I Rudy, just needs to stick to what he can and will do, instead of always going back to what he has done. He has not once said anything about future plans, but what he did in NYC.
  7. He wouldn't be there much but you know any politician will blow up their record given the opportunity. Even when it is possible to show that his assertions are false, unless the media picks up on it those that heard his adjustment of the truth won't know that he lied.
  8. I would bet my next paycheck that it was more time than Nagin spent in NO.
