Would you take a serious look at Joe Biden as a presidential candidate if his senate committee began hearings

on Bush, Cheney and company and their illegal war activities. I know I would seriously consider him an American hero if he would take action. Joseph M- I agree with you, I'm just saying would this HELP him more for people who don't really know what a great man he is? Lettie D- That's exactly what I think too.

6. Joe Biden has been in politics for a long time. Senate committee hearings on Bush, Cheney and "company" at this stage is irrelevant. He may be saying this things now that he is running for president, because he definitely was not saying this one year ago. I like Biden but honestly not as president. Maybe a presidential cabinet position, say Secretary of State would better suit his talents. He has been involved in politics for a long time, which is a turn off for me. You can't make effective change in Washington if you have been apart of it for the last 30+ years.
7. Joe Biden would be the best pick from the democrats for me. I'm not sure how much of a chance he has though. If I remember right, Kerry came from way behind to win the nomination so maybe after the dust settles, he'll come out ahead. He works well with both parties and has a lot of experience in government. I hope CSPAN shows reruns of these hearings on the weekend. Hearings are boring but very informative.
8. No. I would be LESS likely to vote for him. Out of the few Democrats I would be willing to vote for, he actually is one of them. And I am a dyed-in-the-wool Republican. Like, was a Republican before I even knew what one was Republican. Not one of these "Neo-Cons" as I have ALWAYS been a classic conservative, and so by definition, there is nothing Neo about me. Actually, most thinking Republicans do have a few Democrats that we would vote for. I don't know many moderate to liberal Republicans who wouldn't vote for Leiberman, for example, and many conservatives would vote for him, too. Most of us think it was too bad the Democrats kicked him out of the party. Unfortunately, I don't think Sen. Biden will be on the ticket in the fall of 2008. Then again, neither will the candidate I am going to caucus for in less than a month here in Iowa, Duncan Hunter. I gained a lot of respect for Sen. Biden when he held Senate hearings on NCAA Division I football. I know, you are saying, "What? You respect him for something as trivial as THAT?!?!?!" Well, I would like to remind you of one small fact. There are more nations who are members of FIFA than there are members of the UN. You tell me what's more important.

12. Without question, Biden is the best informed candidate. Except for the unrealistic idea that Iraq can be split into three distinct nation-states, he has been spot-on about the lunacy and disaster of Bush’s Iraq invasion and War on Terror. The thing blocking his path (and this is not his first Presidential chase) is his inexplicable (for someone usually very articulate) foot-in-mouth disease that inevitably causes him to say something so pathetically stupid that it chases away everyone not informed enough to see the whole picture (e.g., his observation on the “cleanliness” of Barack Obama).

14. I have taken a serious look at Joe Biden and find that he is a good man who has served his country well. I like all his stands on most of the issues. He just never seems to break out of the pack and I think it is backing and financial issues. But he has been a wonderful Senator. But, Jackie, if his Senate committee would begin hearings on Bush, Cheney and Halliburton and get Bush impeached, I wouldn't be able to get to the polls fast enough to vote for him.
