Would having a child in Iraq make Joe Biden a more Viable candidate?
Will it make him a more popular candidate? Viable as in able to come out in the end. Perhaps viable wasn't the best word to choose. If voters know he has a child serving in Iraq, will it make them identify with him more, more likely to vote for him?

- it shows his children believe in the same things he does...nothing more
- How does having a child in Iraq make you anymore viable?
- No, I think he should stay home with his wife instead. Having a child in Iraq might make him popular in some circles, but the majority of the population would frown on that move. g-day!
- Joe Biden has the chance he was planning on. He is laying in wait until the Democrats come to thier senses and realize Hillary and Obama are not realistic candidates. Unfortunately for him the Democrats don't seem to be coming to thier senses.
- No. In fact using your child for that purpose is just sick. Sorry, but it is.
- I can not speak for everyone obviously, and I am not sure what it will do for him in the end politically, but as for me I like Biden even more having a real interest in Iraq. Regardless of ones view on the war (unless one is a complete lunatic), Biden's son has obviously been brought up right, and puts himself on the line for his nation (even if he doesn't agree in the specifics). As far as I am concerned this gives Biden ALOT more creditability on the Iraq issue. This is a big plus for me. I am a Republican, and will likely stay that way in that I do not agree with Biden on a number of issues. I must say however that he is by far the best of the Democrat lot, and this only highlights that further. I will continue to root for him from afar and if he should by whatever development become the Dem nominee, and the Republican nominee is someone simply not for me, I would perhaps consider him (and that is big for me...have never voted Dem in my life...and I am not young).
