Does Barack Obama really think he can distance himself from his Black Supremacist church of twenty years?

During the past 72 hours it seems like Obama and his campaign have had to face the prospect that TUCC is a major liability. Now they are coming to grips with the truth about Trinity Church of Christ, its beliefs, and the fact that Barack and Michelle and his family have subscribed to those beliefs for more than twenty years. Like a roach caught in the light, he may run from the truth, but he cannot hide anymore! What do you think of Senator Obama's "performance" tonight?

Public Comments

  1. let me think about this.....NOT!
  2. uh oh.
  3. He thought no one would notice. Cause he projected such an image of niceness.... I have never seen him stutter and hem and haw so much before.
  4. That won't help him. Now Obama knew this guy for a long time, calls him family, and even called him his "moral compass" at one point. The guy married him and his wife together AND baptized his kids. Through all of this, he has NEVER heard this guy preach this black supremecist garbage in the 20 years he has known him personally? and that he just all of a sudden generated these racist feelings on a whim? Come on people, our country has enough problems as it is. We don't need any more pathological liars in office. I watched CNN. It looked like the media was making excuses for him. They haven't been hard on him at all. Anderson Cooper was the only one that was direct about it. Sometimes I say "Thank God for him".
  5. I think it is about time this became the issue that it is.
  6. I think he lied through his teeth. There isn't an anti-perspirant strong enough to stop the sweat under his arms tonight.
  7. Think he really wants to? Think it will stop his deluded cult followers? Best we can hope is the "undecided" don't get caught in his web of deceit. Didn't get to see his "performance" yet, but I will catch the reruns later. Can't wait. EDIT: Lucky Dog: I have. He stutters and hems and haws all the time when he is faced with conversing; people have been so hypnotized by his 80% plagarized speeches, they hadn't noticed his inability to communicate person to person, without the rallying crowds lifting him and carrying to heights beyond his league; now will he crash land or gently glide downard? I think the $$$$ carrying him has a few dollars left, but I think he is descending.
  8. No, he is lying! He's trying to cover his bottom!
  9. Well, he tried to say all the appropriate things. They just did not ring true. I see him making yet more bad judgements and I don't want those judgements affecting me or my country........so maybe he should be glad he has his senate seat.........at least for two more years.
  10. I think you can thank the liberal media for not reporting who B/O has been listen to for the past twenty years.why haven't we seen these videos before. smells like "Hillary" to me
  11. I didn’t see tonights “performance,” but Obama finally seems to be waking up and getting worried. As the very liberal Geraldo Rivera observed, Obama’s candidacy is “on the brink.” Obama has gotten the old “Don’t kill the messenger” admonition down pat, and he has taken a page out of Slick Willy’s book of deception. In a post on his blog, Obama wrote that he has been “pained and angered” to learn of some of his pastor's comments “for which he had not been present.” He went on to say, “I reject outright the statements by Reverend Wright that are at issue." Obama just doesn’t get it. It’s not Wright’s comments or statements that are AT ISSUE. It’s Wright himself. This so-called “Reverend” has elevated bigotry to an art form. In one of his televised rants, this heathen said (paraphrase), “The Bible does not say God BLESS America. The Bible says God DAMN America.” Obama would have been better off seeking his “spiritual guidance” from the Devil himself. And apparently he did. I don’t believe it is possible to maintain a 20-year relationship with a committed racist and not be infected by his views. If one of Wright’s messages from the pulpit was that the Bible says “God DAMN” America, that was clearly his idea of a “spiritual” truth. It would be naïve to think that messages of that sort were not an integral part of the “spiritual guidance” he offered to Barack Obama. Obama’s claim that he “had not been present” for his pastor’s racist tirades and he was, therefore, unaware of them until they became public on Thursday is a lie. Most of us know very well what Abraham Lincoln said in his 1865 Gettysburg Address, but how many of us were present when he delivered it? Obama cannot have been unaware that his long-time pastor, friend and mentor was spewing racist venom from his pulpit on a regular basis. This “Wright” episode is exposing Barack Obama as a real hypocrit and he doesn’t seem to know how to deal with it. If, as appears to be the case, his first reaction to a crisis is to lie and try to twist the truth, the judgment he would show as president is scary to think about.
