By how much does Barack Obama propose to increase the taxes?
Also, if there is budget surplus after the taxes are raised, does Barack Obama have enough experience to find new creative ways to spend the surplus too?

- he said he wanted to lower taxes on those who make less than 75,000 a year and raise taxes on those who make more than that.
- Obama has never indicated how much he will raise taxes, but it should be in the neighborhood of one trillion dollars. There will be no suplus.
- As for Barrack Obama, he has proposed a Global Poverty Tax that will cost the American taxpayers a 13-year total of $845 billion over and above what the U.S. already spends. http://www.aim.org/aim-column/obamas-global-tax-proposal-up-for-senate-vote/
- Raising taxes have NEVER raised tax revenue. It historically lowers revenue and creates unemployment.
- Approximately 10,000%.... That ought to do it! The tax situation is too complex to be answered with a single indicator. Come on people! As for a surplus, he probably intends to use it to cover GW Bush's war debts!!!!!! Obama 2008
- Upwards of 25% on investments and God knows what he'll do to people making over 75k a year . . . which is just about everyone in a major metropolitan area.
- he an Clinton both will go difference ways when elections over
- lower taxes for those under $75,000 eliminate bush tax cuts for people who make over $200,000 eliminate Social Security exemption for those making over $125,000 make the capital gains tax same as the upper tax rate 28% for high income people so they dont end up paying less (percentage wise) then thier own employees who work on a salary or by the hour
- we'll find out.
- Much more than Clinton,
- 28% on upper class and big business
- 115% This will be done by taking 70-75% of incomes as an income tax, continuing to borrow $1 trillion a year from China and creating the illusion of "going after rich people" when in fact rich people own businesses which we use so prices will skyrocket. $4 gas? When Obama is in there expect $15.
- He hasn't stated at all yet. None of the candidates have specified how they intend to pay for things that they want to do. The things they did state that they were going to pay for with certain things they both state there going to pay for two things at once with the excess profit tax on oil companies it will only be a matter of time before we find out.
- I have an idea... How about we don't elect someone who proposes more than 1.1 trillion dollars in new spending? That's $1,100,000,000,000.00 for anyone having trouble visualizing it. Regarding his pledge to "protect the little guy"... By voting for Obama, a 22-year-old young college graduate earning $40,000 per year today would be opting to surrender an additional 4 percent of his lifetime earnings to the Social Security administration — and may get no benefits in return. (http://www.cato.org/pub_display.php?pub_id=9218) It's really simple. If you own a business and you suddenly have to pay the government more what will you do? Will you just do it? You are just going to give Uncle Sam more? No. You will raise your prices to maintain profitability. So who pays for all these wonderful tax increases? You. Not them. Not the rich, not the "big companies". You. This is really simple people. The Democrat Party takes advantage of the shear volume of ignorance out here. Most of us are not "rich", I certainly am not. So all they do is tell you they will protect you and "stick it to the man" and all these ignorant people think that sounds great. Raising taxes on the "rich" and "big business" is no different than raising them on you. If you suddenly have to pay more out of your check, are you just going to sit there? No, unless you are an idiot you will try to earn more. You will raise your price on your labor. EDUCATE YOURSELVES
