What do you think makes the Ron Paul Revolution so largely popular?

I personally think the message of freedom brings us all together no matter what race, background or party. The message of Freedom really makes us all unite together.

Public Comments

  1. Because no one has ever heard of the guy?
  2. Ron Paul is all about sticking to the constitution, interpreting it literally, as it was intended to be followed. It's a solid approach to making this system of ours work.
  3. Freedom, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness! Following the Constitution and the rule of law. People who do not understand our monetary system, the history of the Federal Reserve, our false flag operations, etc. are still sheep and one day they'll wake up when their crappy one dollar bill can't buy their double latte caramel cappuccino coffee frappucino crap!
  4. I think many voters are not happy with the prime choices and want someone who is a strong candidate without being wacko
  5. Ron Paul is my man. He is the one, whom Obama should consider as a candidate for VP. Ron Paul is
  6. Because what he is saying is seriously fantastic. He wants to pull out of ALL foreign countries! He is a Republican, but he is strongly against war. He is an ORIGINAL republican. The guy is fantastic, but the media is intentionally cutting him out, since they get the final say in it all. However, I already heard that 40% of Washington state republicans will be voting for him. And Ive always been a democrat, so that says something about him and his ideas.
  7. If it was largely popular, he'd have more than 1 delegate.
  8. i was all for ron paul but since he dropped out im going for bob barr who sounds just as good if not better ;)
  9. Um. He has support from less than 2% of the voters. The general disgust against the establishement is the only thing that keeps him afloat.
  10. It is the message of just restoring ourselves in upholding the Constitution again. If we were to follow and defend it, we'd be better off than we are now! Freedom of having limited government, less wars, and strong national defense is what brought me to his campaign. I think it will continue to grow when he need to spread the message, and this will engulf into politics once again. Thanks for the post.
  11. Ron Paul was great he was all about going back to the basics and the Constitution. He wasn't about being Republican or Democrat, he would best be place in the political party of America. I think he could have done good for the country.
  12. That no matter who you are, no matter what your views, there is one constant belief among everyone other than neocons, and that is we all believe that government bureaucracy is getting far too big and far to threatening to our freedom.
  13. Has anyone else noticed the complete blackout of Ron Paul on in the media? If the government and media just showed a perfectly balanced view and didn't just show what they want you to see then everyone would know who Dr. Paul is. I think that if everyone could see what he was fighting for and how he actually could change America for the better, then he would have easily been our next president.
  14. I think it was the fact that he had his money bomb campaigns, his blimp flying around the East Coast, as well as a strong Grassroots movement on the internet that got his revolution going. If you were to remove these things and replace it with the standard campaign, he would have been gone faster than Chris Dodd over on the Democratic Side.
  15. It ISN'T popular. And brings no one together except a few racists--which is the only sort o ftrash an avowed white supremacist like Ron Paul is going to appeal to. He is NOT a libertarian. Read Ayn Rand--not just Atlas Shrugged. Or Will Durant. Ron Paul does not follow libertarian philosophy or values. He is a lying fake. Let's be very clear about this: real libertarian thought has a lot to offer. Lying hypocrisies like Ron Paul do not. And no decent person is gooing to "unite together" with white trash.
  16. Due to the abismal media coverage, I really had to do my homework to first learn about Ron Paul. But once I did, I was hooked! Limited government?! Personal choice and freedom?! Restore the value of the dollar?! Protect ALL personal freedom and liberty?! He's unlike most politicians today which is what makes him so popular to many while frightening to others. I can understand how anyone wanting government handouts would feel threatened by him. I understand how anyone wanting government control over our lives does not like him. Ron Paul's message is one our founding fathers fought the Revolutionary War for--Freedom! "The evils of government are directly proportional to the tolerance of the people." ~Frank Kent
  17. I think he is opening our eyes to how Americans are being used and abused. Unfortunately, with the msm blocking him out, our "hope" now depends on us!! "We the People". So keep it coming, Brother American! You're doing a fine job! Thanks. /// Airpac sucks ~ I appreciate your "love" of Dr. Paul...as I feel the same. But obama and Dr. Paul's views are at opposite ends of the spectrum. for example of a few issues: obama wants to give illegals a "free ticket" to America PLUS with his "Dream Act"...free college education for illegal "kids" up to 30!!?? [is that a kid?] Dr. Paul is totally against the "free ticket" in any way, shape or form as it is costing Americans billions! obama opposes a Constitutional amendment that would require Congress and the President to balance the budget each year. Dr. Paul supports it. obama supports an increase in taxes for the wealthiest Americans and opposes a flat tax system. Dr. Paul wants to eliminate the income tax that takes 1/3 of our paycheck and supports a flat tax system. There's so much more...but that "ticket" would never work.
  18. Probably because slavery sucks.
  19. For one, he doesn't pander. For two, he says what he really believes and has the track record to prove it. For three, he actually is the only one to look and see if a policy is legal constitutionally before trying to put it in place.
  20. Ron Paul differs from other politicians because he represents middle & lower wage earning Americans. Where as other politicians trick voters into thinking they will represent them,,,,when they really represent the big money interests that help to get them elected. { Do middle & lower wage earners get invited to these fund raisers?????NO! } The movement is growing because the high prices on everything stirs up angry feelings towards a government///banking relationship that is causing severe hardships for middle America, right now. Ron Paul has real answers for the problems Americans are facing....Lets ALL support him and give LIBERTY///The Constitution a chance!!!!! ******************************************************
  21. Freedom is popular. Not to mention all the other candidates are globalist CFR members who serve the NWO. You'd be surprised how many people have learned this in the last year or so... myself included. So when I discovered the Ron Paul campaign, well, it was a no brainer. It should be obvious to anyone with any kind of discernment that Dr. Paul tells the truth, particularly about the economy and the Federal Reserve.
  22. Because, Whether you have ever read anything he said, heard anything he said, or have seen him, it just makes sense. Every day, we complain, about all the things that we do not like in our country, but we never ever, stand up and do anything about it. Ron Paul is willing to go out and actually do something. Not only does he see something wrong with system, he is willing to not only talk about, but do something about it. He is willing to unite the people, and fight for the people, just as he was elected to do. Ron Paul speaks, the truths that we knew where there, but never took the time to realize, just how much of impact they have on our lives. The only problem we have with Ron Paul, is that since he is not backed by the CFR (Counsel of Foreign Relations), he doesn’t have the media behind him. Please watch the video below, it is revealing in many ways. So what happens is that unless we unite together and stand up for ourselves, he will not be able to do anything to help us. He needs out support, but are we willing to do more, than just email each other, and talk about it. A true judge of our character is what we do when no one is looking, So once you get of yahoo answers and get off youtube.com, will you stand up for him, and will you stand up for yourself. Or will you fold, will you back down on your beliefs. Will you let them keep taking from you, and keep enslaving you, and keep limiting you...... Or will you do what is needed to do, Vote the right way, Insist that your vote is counted. Go to the rallies, Report, and profess, what you see. Unite with others Spread the word of truth Whatever else is needed, to create the real change we are looking for. So what is it that you will DO, not say, BUT DO? Ron Paul is liked, because he fights for you, even, when you don't fight for him. He is little concerned about his personal gain. And this makes him loved by those who know about him. Watch the video Just to see, what illusion you live in. This is just one of many. I have included 3 more videos Take the time to watch them. This is pretty amazing stuff And just a few of many resources to find out the information that RON PAUL is talking about. Please research more on your own, and then draw your own conclusion. GOOD LUCK .................................................
  23. I agree with you. Freedom, when it is understood, is very popular. That's why it is imperative for the special interests who control our politicians and the media (the Council on Foreign Relations), to gain control over the Internet. The free exchange of ideas is dangerous to would-be tyrants, and these people want to rule the world. We can expect to expect to see their stooges in elected positions and media spokesmen to work to gain control over the Internet, just as Communist China has done. Just as in Nazi Germany, and the Communist nations, the free exchange of information is dangerous to criminals in positions of power.
  24. it is so largely loved by me and so popular across age groups and all races of americans because ron paul is the only politician that has a grasp of what our country is founded on. the constitution is the best document of freedom ever written in the entire history of the human race. liberty is the gold that paves the streets of the usa. opportunity to succeed by work in any field you love goes hand in hand with liberty. if this were soviet russia, your education, occupation and housing would be chosen for you. what liberty is that? that isn't liberty at all. i'm an old fart--55--and i'd love to see the ron paul revolution actually IMMEDIATELY become a 3rd party. we NEED to get back to our roots. the reason why it's so largely popular is because once you find out about what it means to live under the freedoms afforded to us in the constitution and bill of rights (amendments to it, very hard to put one through), you look around you and what you see is a federal government run amok. you see that liberty and freedom is eroding more and more every day, especially via advances in technology. take a look at one of the topics that not many people know about that ron paul does: the supreme court handed down a ruling in about 1940 that a municipality could use the concept of eminent domain in order to condemn private property owned by citizens not to build a school, for instance, that would be real eminent domain (serving the public), or a road, but to simply use this privately owned real estate to build structures on it that would bring the municipality more $$$ in taxes than what it already was sucking from the owner. mayor daley in chicago is famous for pulling these stunts. he convinces city hall that he will use an entire block upon which currently stands a hospital to make it into a housing unit for the elderly and handicapped of the city, with an emergency medical facility and assisted living. so what did he do? once he got his greedy hands on it via condemnation (not compensating the owners fairly for the real estate, but getting it at a discount due to eminent domain laws), he held it for a couple of years, then sold it to a condo developer. none of his humanitarian deeds ever evolved, but the us supreme court once upheld this sort of unconstitutional action, so therefore, everyone's jumping on the bandwagon! think of that: what if that real estate was where you housed your home and your storefront--the place where you made the money to support your family? and man, does ron paul know about the one thing that is always behind any type of government, which is DA MONEY, HONEY. why are all the stockbrokers behind ron paul? why are we taxpayers that understand what he is talking about, which is the erosion of your dollar due to a central bank (it is legal in europe, but not here under the constitution) called the federal reserve board rallying behind ron paul? because if you put $5,000 into a money market account 3 years ago, thanks to our actual hidden deficit (it's far bigger than is stated if you look at it in real dollars as it was getting deeper and deeper into a dark, murky abyss) and thanks to the fed telling the us mint to print up more fiat dollars, not dollars backed by commodities like silver and gold, every dollar that is printed up makes your $5,000 plus its measly interest worth less. i.e., what you might have purchased with it 3 years ago, without any interest, was more than what you can buy with it today. why are nations all over the earth dumping their holdings in us dollars--for so, so long, the most coveted dollar holding, even above the yen--and our T bills? because it is not worth it to hold them, our dollar is so terribly weak. so what can the working person do with his money? today, that $5k is not enough to put down on a new car so that you are not wrapped into a promisory note on that car for well after all the warranties expire on it, and it begins to rust away. we are living on CREDIT. the federal government, way too big, with its nose into everything that we do, including how the states are allowed to educate children (!!!), lives off of credit. when the government does not take in taxes equal to what it spends perpetually on a never-ending war in the middle east (for the oil, which we have plenty of anyways within our own territories, about 200 years' worth of crude), it takes out loans, of course, with interest due. our big, huge, yoke on our neck of a federal government does not give a hoot where the money comes from. it comes constantly from the so-called "funds" set aside for YOU and ME (which we paid into) in social security, which in reality, based on manipulation of money and based on the deficit, is actually less than a zero balance. it comes from countries like china, which is very rich from the interest on loans that it has taken from us--china is quickly buying up chunks of us real estate. we had better watch what china does. chinese footsoldiers could have us begging on our knees for our lives. china is a major nuclear power. it's in the vicinity of russia, another nuclear power and korea, north and south, and japan...and...micronesia...and... as well as, of course, all the us corporations' legal ability to send our own materials like steel to the orient for meltdown and recycling, then make into cars that you and i are supposed to purchase with whatever measly pennies (they want to make them out of steel instead of copper now) we may have left over, that is, if our jobs were not outsourced to the orient. china is quickly becoming capitalistic, and it's all on the money, honey. we who back ron paul because he's the smartest us representative in our day and age do not want to intervene in the practices of other countries. it is not our business. if you look into history, the popular notion in the united states was to trade with others, but to stay out of their problems. we should not be building nations anywhere on this earth. we should be taking care of our own nation, and man, is that going to be a TON of work! part of it is that our infrastructure, our dams, our roads and bridges, are crumbling, but we've got a work force that's out of work! where are our priorities? it's really too bad that ron paul did not form another party and run for president, since i think, based on all the talking i've done with people my own age that were going to vote for clinton or mccain and then, by learning about what ron paul's all about, changed their minds to vote for ron paul, he could have won. so, look around you. the federal government actually has the freedom to snoop on your life, to enter your home without a warrant, to seize your papers and personal property, and only now has habeas corpus been reinstituted. with technological advances, i don't doubt that soon we will be instantly recognized everywhere we walk. a good movie on that one is "minority report" with tom cruise. yep, the government, not the people, has the freedom. and that's what the people of our country want: we want our independent, individual, freedom. we want our legal rights. we do not want large government, we want states' government, local government. we don't need our taxes wasted on sticking our noses into other nations around the planet imperialistically. and we are losing our toehold--people all over the globe hate the ugly american for such conduct. gee, i wish he was running! the other two do not hold a candle to ron paul. it will just be the SOS. i can't wait another 10 years: i will become an expatriot before then.
  25. I have to agree. There are many of us who believe the Republican party (and government in general) has totally lost focus on who they are, and they don't understand who they're in office to serve anymore. It's no longer about serving the people, but nowdays it's all about them catering to money, and special interest groups. Bush keeps being too nice about 'suggesting' that we as a nation drill for oil, and get ourselves out of this mess. Instead of acting on it, the GOP is spineless to the Democratic greeines, so we are their subjects, and we the people are paying for it out of our pockets everyday, while the politicians are getting rich. We have gotten way off track from what the Constitution plainly says we are supposed to be as a nation. It isn't we the people anymore, but instead it's we the government think you need to be like we tell you to be. This isn't just in America either...just ask Saddam...oh wait we killed him...nevermind. Saddam was a jackass, but Iraq was not a threat, and they just wanted their sovergnty. We couldn't respect that. He ran Iraq better than we are. I do believe the real reason we are overtaking nations such as Iraq is in order to install a New World Order government. Iran is next, and we will be fighting them soon...Why?! Ron Paul doesn't believe in spreading Imperialism across the globe. Us forcing our rules upon other nations is why the USA is so hated throughout the world right now. We are entering into Socialism, and a one world government. Ron Paul was our chance to turn that around. If he were to have been elected, I do believe that the ones in control forcing their agenda upon us would have had Ron Paul assassinated before you could say Kennedy. Now is an unfortunate time in the history of America, and for all of us. Now we will have to pay for the voters who don't understand what the 'change' is that they are voting for. I will write in Ron Paul as a protest to the system, as we have no electable choice to choose from. McCain is more of a McSame as Obama than another Bush. I don't like Bush, but he will go down as a hero when compared with either of these two.
  26. You kinda said it in the followup to your own question, and I realize that I'm going echo many portions of the other fine answers here, but Freedom is a powerful and uniting message. It's a very popular concept, and while it's seen a little differently by people of all ages, it's common ground for us all, too. To the youngest voters, it's a message of self-reliance and unlimited vistas. For those of us who are middle-aged, it's the promise of being able to give our kids opportunities that we may not have had when we were younger and the removal of nanny-state interference. For those who are more seasoned, it's a combination of able to enjoy the fruits of our labor and knowing that we're leaving our grandkids a legacy we can all be proud of. It is impervious to racial division: Americans are Americans are Americans. We remember that our country has revolutionary origins, and that many of us and our ancestors gave up everything to come here and be part of this grand experiment in liberty. We also know that while not all of us have always been free here, we, the Ron Paul Republicans, are those who bear the torch of the party of Abraham Lincoln, and as true conservatives want all Americans to be free to be everything they can be -- without undue intervention. We are charitable, because we realize that the blessings of liberty parley themselves into wealth that we are free to share as we fit. Conservatives love to contribute to relief efforts, to fund scholarships, to volunteer in our communities. And as we tend to be entrepreneurial, we know that being good community members is good business, so we not only donate as individuals, we donate as corporate entities, too. That's a big part of where the "love" in our rEVOLution comes from. We don't want or need grand wealth redistribution schemes to support programs that we feel are inefficient or contrary to our country's best interests. We're happy to help good causes, and we think that everyone should be free to get behind their own favorite causes, too. Mostly, we are a welcoming bunch. We want everyone to come join the revolution. I think it's cool that many folks who previously thought themselves to be "liberals" have looked at the Ron Paul platform and seen how strongly it resonates within them, too. But I'm not surprised by it, either. At the end of the day, after all of the debating and posturing, we all want a peaceful world where we and our children can be healthy, happy and prosperous. The rEVOLution demonstrates a common-sense approach to achieving that via restoration of our personal liberties and civil rights. OK, I'm rambling....time to go play some guitar.
  27. the Constitution and the rule of law small government low taxes are all precepts that Ron Paul stand for and they are things most folks can get behind after all the fear mongering and lies and hate filled rhetoric of the Dem's and re-pubs up to this point
