why do people think John McCain has a chance?? the next president will be Obama or Hillary.?

agree? John McCain stance on Issues or all wrong.

Public Comments

  1. Because Obama and Hillary are suicidal and irritating choices.
  2. Don't count on it. Not everyone feels the way you do on issues.
  3. ROFL!! Oh thanks, I needed that!!
  4. John McCain isn't a Racist, doesn't have ties to terrorist, and doesn't have a relationship with a fraudulent sleezy chicago FUND RAISER Tony Rezko.
  5. McCain stands for all the same things Bush does. He would basically be a third Bush term. For tax cuts for the rich, for deficit spending, for the war, and for economic policies that don't work. =========== Touchet... McCain called asians gooks. A campaign staffer of him was caught being a supporter of Hezbollah and he supports anti-catholic bigot John Hagee's endorsement of him. Hagee has called the catholic church the great whore, a cult, and the anti-christ system. Let's not forget his relationship with Keating, one that almost cost him senate seat! McCain helped out his buddy for money and almost got kicked out.
  6. Because Democrats have an uncanny ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. This election should, by all accounts, go to a Democrat. But at the current rate, they could squander this opportunity big time. If they continue to take discontent with the GOP for granted, it may run out, especially if they drag this primary fight out until the Convention. Pretty soon, Democratic voters will get sick of donating their money to this never-ending election.
  7. Depends who the Dem's nominate. If it's Obama, I think his past (political and personal) coming out in the general election will kill him and McCain will win pretty easy. I'm not sure how the Clinton/McCain battle will go... if some Dems are really ticked off by her being nominated that could put McCain in the Whitehouse too. Remember, Bush got re-elected! Things were not great 4 yrs ago either... and he still won! It all depends what comes out and how it affect the opinions of voters. Look at the current polls (which are never completely accurate but a semi-decent gauge for opinion) which show Obama 10 points UNDER McCain at the moment. It's all about news and public opinion. Personally I hope it's some 4th candidate we don't even know about yet... maybe that will send some shockwaves through our crappy government and get them to wake the hell up and start serving the people once more.
  8. Everyone has their own feelings about this. Obama and Hillary have a lot of baggage that is all over. With what has been made public bothers me a lot. It is easy to say both of these stance on issues is very wrong. I feel, it is which choice is the best of all bad choices.
  9. Its 3 people in a 3 legged race with McCain running by himself. Gun control Phantom Snipers universal heath car and most recently Rev. Wright
  10. Wrong to you but some of us have small businesses in this country and Hillary or Obamas policies will kill us. People will see all this by November!
  11. Probably because the democrats picked two idiots with no experience, no morals, and no ability to speak the truth.
  12. Well, that's a pretty silly question, but I'll give you a serious answer. Right now McCain isn't doing hardly anything campaign wise, but he is ahead of Obama in Electoral Votes. You know what Electoral Votes...those are the ONLY ONES THAT MATTER. These "national polls" don' t mean squat, because that is not how we vote, we vote by state and electoral vote... you need to look at what each of the latest poll numbers are in each state and then do the math and see who wins it and how many electoral votes they get. Reporters are too stupid and lazy to do this, but you can find some websites where the folks do it. Right now it is Obama 243 McCain 269 Ties 26 You need 270 Electoral Votes to win, so McCain is one short, but the states that are "tied" are Indiana and North Carolina, both solid GOP states. If the election were today McCain would beat Obama. Clinton actually does much better...Clinton 291 McCain 247, but that assumes she wins Florida, and her lead in FLA is only by 1%, within the margin of error. McCain could win FLA given it's large percentage of military retirees. He does that, he's President... And this is BEFORE he starts to campaign seriously. Bottom line is, the Dems have EVERYTHING on their side in this election. The media will lie, cheat, and ignore to help them...they are totally in the tank. The Dems have more money, more enthusiasim, and . Bush is unpopular, even with Republicans. The economy is starting to tank.. we aren't in a recession but the growth we are having is only 0.6%..about as weak as it gets and some areas (esp. Michigan) are technically in a recession. The war was going to be the Dems big issue.(till Gen. Petreaus has turned that around and we are winning it) but it's not terribly popular. The Dems should be sailing to the White House... they have both the House and the Senate locked up. The Projected Senate: is Dem 54 GOP 46. So the very fact that McCain is even in there swinging should tell you something. It is as if the New York Yankees were playing a little league team from Japan and the game was tied at the 7th inning stretch. Why? If you have been watching the Democratic Primaries you will see that the system is seriously fracked up. Like most things the Democrats do it is complex, unworkable, and generally a mess. It is full of special rights for different groups and it is so messed up that NOBODY actually knows, for sure, exactly how many delegates anybody has. All the different news organizations have different counts, Michigan and Florida can't even vote, and it is all going to come down to who does what deal with whom at the Convetion... not very democratic. The Democrats have a system that is incapable of nominating a winner. The system is designed by and for Democratic activists and those people have very little in common with the American people. The kind of person who can win the Democratic Nomination can not win the Presidency. So the Democratic Party is going to nominate someone who can't win...same as it did with Kerry, Gore, Dukakis, Mondale, McGovern, and yes even Clinton and Carter. I know what you are saying "Clinton and Carter..but they DID win!!" Yes, but remember Clinton NEVER got a majority of the American people to support him. In 1992 he got 43.0% , Bush I got 37.4%, and Perot got 18.9% . If Perot hadn't been in there Bush would have gotten a second term. In 1996 Perot was gone but Clinton still only got a minorty win, very close but he only got 49.2% and Dole, despite being a horrible candidate got 40.7% . If Kemp had been the nominee instead of the VP nominee he would have cleaned Clinton's clock. The last time a Democrat got a majority was Jimmy Carter 50.1% to Ford's 48.0%, in 1976. Thirty two years ago was the last time the Democrats got a majority in a Presidental Election. Does that tell you something about the Democrats nomination process? What makes it worse is that was A) under different nomination rules, B) after Watergate, C) Ford was appointed, and D) there were still Pro-Life Democrats at the time, and nobody was supporting Gay rights. B and C are important because they were one time events, not likely to happen again so the Dems can't count on them, and D is important because the leadership of the Democratic Party hadn't moved away from mainstream, church going, middle class American values yet. People like Tip O'Neal were still running the party, and they are all gone now. Bottom line, the Democratic Party, simply CAN NOT nominate someone who can get a majority of the American pubic to vote for them. Period. Unless and untill it reforms itself the Dems will, except under the most unusual cirucmstances (like another Perot or a nuclear war) ALWAYS loose the White House.
