What is your opinion of John McCain on the issues?
I was pleasantly surprised by McCain's position on several issues. Here are the details if you need them to answer the question: http://www.johnmccain.com/Informing/Issues/
Public Comments
- Obama all day every day
- I always heard all he cares about is Iraq..
- He should be renamed McSame
- He is middle of the road on issues and is my third choice but their is no real alternative to him!
- All im gonna say is im not exactly fond of him.
- he is a dork
- KEATING
- I think Clinton is the answer for America
- He's another Bush.
- he embraces and plans to continue bush's failed polices i.e. the war in iraq, no thanks
- I support John McCain.
- McCain must think ..."..if ya can't beat 'em ....join 'em'"!
- He is the only viable candidate. jmho
- OMG, I personally think he rocks. And he is not McSame, last time I checked it was McCain and he WILL bring a change to da white house. McCain all da way for '08
- I agree with most GOP stances; however, I do NOT agree that we need to occupy Iraq. We need to get the fuck out. If McCain said he's withdraw the troops within 60 days he would win the presidency.
- I don't know. I'm glad he'll lose the race. His defeat is inevitable. At the democratic convention, far more democrats showed up than republicans at their convention (sound similiar?). It should sound similar. same thing happened when george bush ran 4 years ago, and he won by a landslide, so we can expect obama to do so too (hillary doesn't have a chance either. sorry). not to sound super democratic, it's just facts. If we can understand our history, then we can predict our future.
- Two of the most important issues are not there. Gays and abortion, mothers murdering their babies by another name. These are the issues important to me. I am against both.
- He is really nice and very responsible. He is very concsious on the issues. Then again that is what I think of Hillary and Obama...
- You know at this point and with the other two that are trying to get elected to run, anything he does is better than Obama or Clinton. He's the only choice we got, but actually I like how he stands on most issues.
- I agree on everything but Healthcare and the War in Iraq. I think US should have universal health care like all other developed countries do. I think war is nothing but political games which costs the lives of American soldiers and innocent people worldwide.
- Better than Obama.
- He's either functionally identical to Bush on policy, or deviates so slightly that it makes little practical difference. Bush could take one political step toward the center, and he and McCain would be almost indistinguishable. He's trying to differentiate himself, but he's also obviously trying to have his cake and eat it too. He promises just enough to claim he isn't completely ignoring matters like global warming (as Bush has done), but gamely avoids taking things so far as to annoy the conservative base. Unfortunately, it's not nearly enough to make a real difference. Bush's 3rd term.
- as a young person, i cannot yet vote, all i can remember is the race to be the best of the crappy candidates. not in my lifetime has the population been excited about a president. with all that in mind, i think he is the best of the worst
- I'm voting for him. I agree on most of his opinions and with his current plans.
- Love him Liked Hillary but the DNC is screwing us over
- I like the fact that he is against abortion, that is really important to me. He is the only pro-life candidate and I agree with him on most of the major issues. I also support the fact that he's being truthful and up front with the American people. Obama is NOT going to get the troops out of Iraq within 60 days of his presidency, he'd kill them all just trying. Who knows, he may be impeached by that time!
