Why are Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich the only two candidates who want to leave Iraq now?

The war is so unpopular wouldn't more candidates take this stance? Also Ron Paul gets more donations from the military than any other candidate. Isn't that saying something? Paul is a simpoleton? He is more versed in political philosophy (locke/hobbes/rousseau) than any other candidate.

  1. The war may be unpopular but nobody wants to leave before the jobs done.If that happens it will be worst than it was before the war and the canidates know that.
  2. Perhaps Ron Paul knows that the Iraq war is pointless and it's really about the oil and who controls the region, we have to finish what we started now.
  3. They are cherry picking voters.
  4. some other candidates also want to leave, but gradually paul and kucinich are simpletons, as it is just politically impossible to pul out at once. just think of the chaos that this will create in iraq and to other countries participating in the war.
  5. because they are both nuts, they want to surrender, and too bad, both don't have chance getting elected. before you put your thumbs down on my answer, admit this simple fact.
  6. I think both of them should leave for Iraq
  7. Dennis Kucinich is a pacifist and Ron Paul believes we shouldn't be sticking our nose in business that doesn't concern us like Iraq for instance. No Iraqi was involved in 9/11. But the other Democrat candidates believe in a withdrawal that would not put American soldiers in harms way. The Republicans don't want to withdraw at all. Maybe Huckabee does, I'm not sure about that. Pulling out all at once would be extremely dangerous.
  8. Yeah, he's not driven by Godly standards but by the other guy's, plus he's a racist: http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/01/10/paul.newsletters/index.html?iref=hpmostpop See for yourself...blah anymore, just blah..
  9. Because bith are smart, courageous and principled, and there is a media blackout against them, like not letting them participate in many debates
  10. By cherry picking the side of the issue, the mainstream media gives the appearance that we are "winning." There is no government to take over there. There may have been some stabilization in the last 6 months, but Ron Paul would not be taking over 6 months ago. He was willing to see if the surge helped, but in his view the basic problem of it being a civil war with no stable ruling body still exists. He would not pullout troops in a process that put them in harm's way.
  11. Hillary Clinton has by far recieved the most campaign money from the Defense Contractors. Ron Paul is near the bottom. Representative Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul have shown the most honesty and integrity in their voting records. Both were against the illegal Invasion of Iraq from day one. They both have voted down funding the Occupation on every vote. Kucinich has brought forth many bills and ammendments to begin withdrawing troops. Kucinich also has addressed in Congress the profiteering of Private Contractors and the Imperial design of the "Benchmarks" to privatize Iraqi Oil. Kucinich is the ONLY candidate calling for (HR 676) non-profit Single Payer Healthcare like every democracy in Europe, Canada and Australia have. It is because of these political platforms that the Corporate media have shunned and marginalized these candidates. Paul was not allowed on a Fox News debate. Kucinich was barred from a Des Moines Registar debate in Iowa, Fox and ABC debates in New Hampshire and now NBC has banned Kucincih even though he met their requirements. Obama and Edwards know if they had Kucinich's record and politics that their funding would dry up and they too would be marginalized or attacked. (Only Kucinich gets asked about UFOs, even though former President Ronald Regan twice reported seeing UFOs-not deemed newsworthy because of his Conservative politics.)
  12. Wars are very profitable and the world Bankers arm all sides to keep the money rolling in. They care not how much blood is spilled, because wars also trim down the world populations. So many civilian people are willing to be the sheep that go to be slaughtered (metaphorically), because the MSM (mainstream media) tells them too. RON PAUL 2008
  13. The US is building a big embassy in Iraq, so it's not smart to cut and run. There is also a fear in the US and in the UK, that if our miitary power leaves, Itaq would crumble and another dictator, possibly worse than Saddam, would take control. Kuwait is happy America is there. Syria , a breeding ground for terrorists, knows better than to play hardball as long as the USA is there. Who knows what Turkey reallky thinks but they are not being bothersome. Egypt is happy. What Ron Paul does not understand is the global stage.
