With Ron Paul being so much different than the rest of the Republicans, why does he not get more coverage?

He finished in New Hampshire just behind Giuliani. Look at Ron Paul's voting record record. He is far different from the rest of the GOP. It seems like the news programs mention Hunter and Thompson far more than Paul, as if they were ignoring him.

Public Comments

  1. "as if they are ignoring him," "He is far different from the rest of the GOP"....you hit the nail on the head, that's why he isn't getting as much coverage
  2. Someone might listen.
  3. Ron Paul is currently receiving more attention than he warrants. All the fun and fluff is over. Now that the primaries/caucuses have started, it's time to focus on the serious candidates.
  4. "taco-seasoned shredded cheese
  5. because he is not going to win - period. He gets support from high school children and other naive groups. - like the poster below who describes neo-conservatives as socialists - Bushler and Reagan are socialists, now??????
  6. The GOP is terrified of him because he is not their typical cookie cutter candidate. He might not be as easily manipulated and controlled by the party. He is not one of their in crowd, therefore, he does not have the good ol' boys' stamp of approval. They will do their best to ignore him and be sure he does not get coverage. The scary thing is, he is probably the best of all the GOP candidates thus far, not that that is saying a lot...
  7. Just my personal opinion, I believe that Ron Paul is a shill for the Rep party their voter support was way down - along comes Paul - green party voters change to republican to support him - democrats switch as well - he looked so good... but like you say no coverage. well I think it is because it is planned for Mr. Paul to drop out of the race after obtaining a higher voter concentration for the rep. party. Just like the emotional Hillary said "This election is the most serious the American people have ever faced" may we make a good choice.
  8. He's actually a Libertarian, still conservative, but not part of the mainstream party. Our two-party system still chooses to acknowledge and emphasize those two parties. I think this party could gain strength if it could get its message out more thoroughly. He has raised as much as Hillary Clinton during a particular time period, apparently. Don't know what those funds have been used for, though. Correction: Yes, of course he's running as a Republican. I still strongly associate him with the Libertarian Party because that is what he was affiliated with. I don't think his ideas have changed, however. Sorry that some of you don't like my answer. Not my problem.
  9. the media HATES him, because he isn't corrupt, he will work to wrest the power from the corporations and the media that control this country. take a look around. who is the only one who is going to end the war in iraq? who is the only one who acknowledges our dollar is plummeting and wants to do something about it? who is the only one who abides by the constitution (meaning he doesn't vote for laws that go against it), and he is the only one interested in getting our standard of living back. it's time to wake up, america. if you don't educate yourself, you'll get the North American Union and the constitution will be officially worthless. if you are clueless about this, you can't say that i didn't tell you right now.
  10. Today's Republican party isn't the same anymore. The neo-conservatives have taken over the Republican party. They believe in big government with no limit, militarism...etc Ron Paul is an old school conservative, he believe the government should have limited power, and shouldn't be involved too much in foreign complex. Neo-conservatives are socialists who pretends to be conservatives. GOP has lost its way in my opinion
