What does Ron Paul have to do to become the main republican candidate?
What does Ron Paul have to do to become the main republican candidate? I'm not that familiar on how the republican party selects there candidate? who votes and where?
Public Comments
- People have to actually vote for him. He's been marginalized by the media.
- He has to be able to tap his foot and take a wide stance!
- He seems to be doing all he has to do. He is raising money, and he is being invited to all the debates, and whatever else his schedule holds is probably on his website. He is holding his own, and thats a plus. I just don't think he will win.
- I think he would have to take maybe 75% of his ideas and quietly put them away and never utter them again; otherwise most voters will think he's kind of a crackpot. But the other 25% aren't bad, really I mean that.
- I'm very sorry. I've never heard of him.
- He would have to walk on water, cure all diseases, and give everyone ever lasting life.
- All other Republican candidates (and potential candidates) would have to die for that to happen. No real Republican will vote for him.
- win the primary election,.....
- Not be as liberal as he is. http://www.truewordtoday.blogspot.com
- lol. he shouldn't even be a candidate.
- Ron Paul needs to get the most most votes from Republican Primaries and Caucuses in the majorit of states. A simplistic anser, but it depends on registered Republicans choosing him.
- Bend over and let big business and special interests make him their b!tch like the rest of the top tier.
- Ron Paul has to kill Rudy Giuliani because that is the only way he will get him off of the top spot.
- Finish in the top two in Iowa, then win New Hampshire. That's how he becomes the MAIN Republican candidate. Even if that doesn't happen, I'm voting for him anyway.
- let's see. I am sceptic with organized belief, I pay my taxes and my lawyer would get me pot anytime if I really wanted, I believe that black people are 100% human unlike constituted by the founding farters and I do not envy women's right to vote, even without owning land etc.pp. I think nuggets are more inconvenient than bank notes, last not least maybe I am goofed but I ain't bloody goofed. looks like he's got nothing to offer. sorry - sa'long.
- Start kicking the other candidates in the Debates.
- Continue to discuss the issues and let people know where he stands. His honesty is refreshing. He is gaining in the polls and his fundraising is growing even faster.
- Three things: 1.) Avoid serving in the Military 2.) Shoot someone in the face. 3.) Release pressure of deeply closeted homosexuality by soliciting sex in a restroom.
- Raise $20 million in the next quarter and get over 25% in the polls...
- Ron would have to get enough people locally to take the time and effort to support him in the different state's primary elections or caucuses. It is very complicated, read the Wikipedia article. The Republican national campaign will be in Minnesota, land of 10,000 loony liberals. That is where the presidential candidate is chosen. They are gearing up for lots of protests and demonstrations from the liberals, who are out to prove how they are open-minded and inclusive to different opinions. Ron would need lots of local support from everywhere in the country. I doubt that would happen, since most of his supporters are libertarians who talk big, but do little.
- If these 52000 plus Ron Paul supporters....: http://ronpaul.meetup.com/about/ Re-register as Republicans & can get 10 to 25 of their friends to register as Republicans for the state by state "Primary" elections, which start in Jan. 2008, in some states........We can outnumber the neo-con Republicans & get Dr. Paul nominated to represent the Republican party in the General election which is held in Nov. of 2008. I feel this coming Presidential election may be the most historic event of our life-times, because for the first time in a "VERY" long time we have a Presidential candidate that wants what's best for the common American, instead of what the rich elite class decides what's best for America. That candidate is Ron Paul! Here's the proof: http://www.house.gov/paul/press/press2007/pr092707.htm And This: http://www.house.gov/paul/tst/tst2007/tst100707.htm Can/Have any other candidates tried to do anything like this? Answer: NO! Ron Paul is working/running for the benifit of the common people! Thank You Ron. ********************************************************
- He already is the main Republican candidate.
