Who feels that Ron Paul could quite possibly be the closest candidate to an ideal president?

I have been doing research and cross-referencing on all of the candidates, and I find myself quite intrigued with Ron Paul. I would like to hear any and all positive reasons why Ron Paul should/could be the next president. Links are welcome. Thank you very much. If you want to bash Ron Paul, I suggest you move along to another question; if you don't answer the question, you will be ingnored. This question is for Ron Paul supporters or those who are leaning towards Ron Paul only. Obviously hedgehog can't read a question.

1. I actually thought about registering as a Republican so I can vote for him in the primaries. I usually vote democrat, but have considered voting for him should he make it on the ballot next november. So I guess, his crossing political boundaries is one more thing that makes him a potentially good president. I really like his ''no preemptive war'' stance, as well as his ''abolish the IRS and the Fed'' stance, his immigration stance is good too.

3. Me! I feel that Ron Paul is a great man with ideal thoughts. That he usually fulfills his promises makes me believe that he would be very close to being an ideal president. 5. I agree that Ron paul is nearly ideal. What I like most about him is that he respect's the rule of law and doesn't believe the president should have the power of a king. If he's elected president he'll make congress set policy rather than doing things unilaterally like so many of our recent presidents. I agree with Paul on maybe 50% of his stances, but I will vote for him because he will not take action without approval from congress and the people. Plus he's so darn honest, it makes his competition look like criminals.

8. I do! He's the most authentic, intelligent, charismatic and compassionate candidate running. Frankly I am IMPRESSED... Republican or Democrat, I have almost never seen a candidate who is so honest and relativistic in his/her thinking, and who doesn't try to please the public but says the things exactly as s/he believes them. If you believe in lower taxes, are anti-war, against the patriot act, for secure borders and believe in honest government who looks out for our well being not their own self interests then this is the man for you!

10. I registered (R) ONLY so that I can vote for my man in the primaries. As a woman, I know a lying man when I see one...and he is the only one that is NOT. All you have to do is look at his voting record and see what he has done in the past. There is a reason that he is a 10 term congressman.
11. The main reason I decided to put my support behind Ron Paul was because of his strong support of the Constitution. He truly wants to get America back to the ground rules that the Founding Fathers meant for America to follow when they wrote the Constitution. I also like how he wants to get us out of Iraq immediately. And that he wants to get rid of useless federal level(unconstitutional too) departments like the Department of Education. The fact that he wants to get the government's hand out of our pocket books too is great because he wants to cut spending while cutting taxes.

There are so many Bills that he has introduced that could have had such a beneficial effect for our society. Hes going to pass 12million before Dec 16th ! He should easily surpass 15million with that figured in, and the rest of the month too we could be seeing him realilistically at 17-19 million. People are going to start taking notice soon. Name Recognition and Money are the 2 biggest things but having a Large Motivated Fan Base can have a powerful effect. Huckabee has raised 2.3 Million dollars, Who is going to be buying Ad time in New York and California, not Mike Huckabee. The media has been selling the wrong underdog .
13. He is the only candidate that is talking about how bad the deficit and our constant borrowing from China is that will actually do something about it. Some NEO-CON on here the other day said that we should not worry about how bad in debt we are to China or worry about them selling off our declining dollar. His reasoning was because our economies are INTERTWINED. If that doesn't bother you....... I can't really come up with anything to that ridiculous statement.
14. he is for me -after researching him and his plans I have found that he wants to do the right thing for the country -nobody even comes close to his economic plans which are by far the best - this country could see real growth for once without bubbles popping everywhere if he gets elected .

17. I feel Ron Paul is the only candidate to be a great president in the situation we have now seriously. I mean our value of our dollar is eroding, the unconstitutional and illegal Income tax is eating away our middle class, which will hurt our economy even worse. Just imagine getting rid of the IRS and the FedReserve, we'll have a limited government spending waaay less, also to mention you won't need the government taking your money that you work for. Also, these government bearurcrats such as the Department of Education, Homeland Security, and FEMA are the responsible ones bankrupting our country with their useless spending. I think we should deserve back our national defense by bringing back our soldiers from the 700 bases around the world, bring the current ones in Iraq, and maintain them here protecting our borders. And Dr. Paul seems like the only and serious candidate willing to do that.
