Can Mitt Romney come back into the race if it goes into round 2?

If Huckabee can prevent McCain from obtaining 1,100 delegates, can Romney (being that he "suspended" his race and didn't actually step out) step back into the race and go for the Delegates along with Huckabee and McCain? I've never heard of anyone suspending their race either. However, he did. Ron Paul said there wouldn't be any third party runs on his site. And why would he? To prevent this country from falling into the vicious claws of McCain.
