Does anybody here think Mitt Romney was our best chance?
Mitt Romney has suspended his race for president. I understand his reasoning, but John McCain just leaves me wanting as a republican. If it is between McCain and Obama, I will vote for Obama. I just think McCain is the wrong choice in so many ways. What do you think?

- I think it was a poor choice if he really cared about us and our country. I think Ron Paul is, was, and will be our only chance.
- No. I went to this link and filled the quiz and it matched Huckabee with my views. http://kfvs12.com/Global/link.asp? L=293263&nav=menu51_2_8 .
- Mitt Romney was the best conservative candidate. He will emerge in the next election.
- Let see, he voted for the war, he voted to fund it, he voted for more taxes, and he even advocated to invade Iran. Not a chance. Next.
- Yes. yes, yes, and yes! I am also a Republican, currently for Obama and donating money to his campaign. If the election came down to Hillary and McCain, I don't think I could possibly vote for either candidate. Obama is where we have to hang our hope...yes we can!
- McCain is lacking for sure but Obama? Are you serious? No freakin way!
- No.
- Once again "political correctness" has reared its ugly little head!! And its a shame that so may "evangelicals" abandoned a potential winner in Mitt just to snub him and his "Mormon" beliefs and threw their votes to McCain and Huckabee instead. Huckabee and the "judge not lest ye be judged" crowd really blew true conservatives and Mitts chances. Its a shame really that people dont look at the man! Ewwwwwwww hes a "mormon" ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!
- This question can really go deep, but I feel that McCain is the best Republican that was in the field. I think that it will be between McCain and Obama....Obama wins and takes Clinton as the VP.
- I agree with you. McCain is scary.
- Romney was not the best choice, so I think. As for who is left I don't think that Obama is the best choice either because he only says what is popular at the time and seems so wishy-washy to me. I would vote for Huckabee if a miracle happens but he doesn't have enough money compared to the rest. And that only leaves McCain and Hilliary. I would choose McCain because it seems like to me when it comes to making a choice between what the people want and what the Dem. party wants, it seems to me the Dems go with the party and that scares me. There just doesn't seem to be much to chose from.
- i am republican and i think ALL the choices are crap! I think we are all in store for another 4 yr. disgrace....hate McCain!!!! Romney Was the last chance and now were done
- Ron Paul is our best chance maybe Hilary
- I think Mc Cain is your only chance. I think most people are a little tired of conservative ideas.
- a BIG yes!!..i am even very disappointed of him quitting the race...BUT NOT to HIM...BUT to those "convervatives" as they claim they are... i just DONT understand the LOGIC when they used their RIGHT to VOTE.. they know that the other possible conservative (huckabee) dont have a diverse support as romney had..so they should have settled with romney to stop Mccain and have a conservative in the white house.. i respect their right, but i am just very disappointed that i need to voice it out. apologies... i know a lot of them dont like him coz he is a mormon, and maybe they are unsure if he is really a conservative... but Com'on!!! i JUST DONT REALLY GET THE LOGIC.... this is the first time i am into this.... he has a good background.. a good businessman.. a conservative.. a good plan for the country/s future..
- He was the best choice for an "outsider" president. Some folks need to check their facts; He never voted for the war, or to fund the war. How could he? He has never served in the Congress!! Governors do not vote on such matters.
- He was the guy - we missed it. The ship just passed. I felt he was the most logical choice for any person concerned about the economy. - I liked his perspective on the borders and making some rules. - I felt he understood the threat of terror and would hold hte military accountable for creating a plan so the troops arent just kicking dirt, going in circles - obviously we'd all love for them to come home. Huckelberry totally skrewed Romney over with his pointless attempt at the whitehouse. They trippd each other up making McCain the front runner by default. I guess its time to rally around McCain now.
- 2 words ron paul
