I need help choosing between Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson?

The problem is, they BOTH look presidential! Mitt Romney is tall and has a strong chin, but Fred Thompson has this comforting father-figure thing going for him. So who do I choose? As a member of the Republican base, I choose my candidate without considering the substance of their policy proposals or their political history, so I have to go by purely artificial considerations such as, 'Which candidate satisfies my creepy Big Daddy fetish?'

8. My honest suggestion...? If you're not choosing candidates based on personal politics, past voting trends, political views, etc, then don't vote at all. Voting for someone who's views/past you have no idea about is like walking up to a stranger, handing them a loaded gun and all your money, and asking them to hold on to it for you. Simply being Republican does not mean that every candidate has the same views as everyone else in the party. If that was the case it wouldn't matter who was President.
