What would happen if a week before election day both presidental candidates die?
Do the people vote on the two former candidates, with the party picking the replacement candidate internally? Does the election get pushed back? Have I just discovered how Bush plans to remain in office indefinately?

- i think the secret service would want to know about you
- Since technically you vote for the electors pledged to that candidate, you would still vote for their name and then the electors would decide who they vote for which would likely be the VP candidate.
- God forbid!
- parties are not part of the government so you don't re-vote on the candidates and the election would never get pushed back. someone not in the parties may get elected, possibly making our country a democracy instead of a plutocracy run by lobbyists.
