When is the next national election? When do the presidential primaries take place?

After this election, when is the next big election? Also, the presidential election of 2008...when do the candidates start campaigning and when do the primaries happen?

6. Well, the 2006 Mid Terms are the big election as far as the US is concerned. I suppose if you're a real election junkie in need of a fix, you could always investigate the two run offs in LA 7 and TX 23 due in December, but as for the next big ones well I suppose there are the off year elections in 2003. As for the primaries, they start up in January 2008 (so wrap up nice and warm) in Iowa and New Hampshire.
