Why do people say Barack Obama is a Muslim and does cocaine and other drugs?

He doesn't do any of that.

8. Well, at least he once was a Muslim (some think he hasn't changed......he took his oath of office as Senator with his hand on the Koran - not the Bible). If tobacco is a drug, then he's still on at least that one as he can't give up his cigarette habit. Who knows in private what drug he might be taking.

I know he said that he had nothing to do with it and that he didn't know that his 'preacher' was talking about that. How can you not know if you've been going to that church for 20 years? That's why he's a muslim. He only claimed to be a Christian so that he can get the peoples vote for the presidential nomination.

12. It's an attempt to discredit him. These kinds of attacks are old in politics. In fact, as far back as ancient Greece, Pericles was accused of being whipped by his wife and passing on her ideas to the assembly - a serious charge to the misogynous Greek. Just take the most horrible thing you can think of that sort of fits the bill. Make the accusation (Through other people of course - as a general rumor). It's very effective. If they don't defend against it, it gives credit to it, because some people will wonder why they're not answering such a charge. If they do, it will look suspicious to others, who will wonder why they're even acknowledging this if there's nothing to it. Either way, if it gets you half a percentage point, it's worth it.
13. I dont believe many say he is still doing coke. He himself said he did coke as a youth. As for Muslim, he was born one, raised as one, and many of those close to him are Muslims (in his own book he even says that his mentor "Uncle" Jeremiah was practising Islam) or Jew haters such as Samantha Power, his middle east expert and Harvard professor. His "church" of 20 years has very close ties to Islam and its leaders like Farakkan. So while he isn't a public Muslim like Osama, he certainly is a big Muslim sympathizer. (Note how quickly be backtracked from his statement last week to a Jewish group about his support for Israel and undivided Jerusalem once his Muslim handlers told him to get in line)
14. Reading the responses by some of you, it is quite obvious that you don't spend much time verifying the facts before you comment. The degree of gullibility evidenced by some of these responses is simply astounding! If these comments reflect the intelligence and sophistication of the electorate at large, then this country is indeed headed for the cliff. God help us!
