So whats the deal is Barack Obama muslim or not i'v been watching videos where they are saying he is but he is not saying anything about it so what do you all think. I asked a question, did i ever say the man was a muslim, if i thought he was why would i wast time like this, if you think i was joking then why reply move on to the next question this was for people who felt like answering, i'm young and this stuff is important to me i want the right person to be my president if it's old news to you then oh well.

Obama attended both Muslim and Christian schools. He is currently a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ. His pastor, Reverend White (now retired from that church) is a racial bigot and hate monger. Obama, in his own words (read "Dreams From My Father") has the same racial bigotry that his pastor & friend has shown us.

I think he doesn't even care. I mean, first he's muslim. Went to muslim school, etc. Then he's a "devout Christian" (Obama's words). Then Oprah gives him money, and all of a sudden he says "Belief in Jesus is not necessary to go to Heaven". (Siding w/ her "New Age" church) And I ask: what is the basis of Christianity? Belief in Jesus, right? But Oprah gives him money, and he sold it, just like that. Conclusion: He doesn't care. Lets just call him a member of the church of soul-sellers. ("My soul to the highest bidder!")

Muslims believe that if your father is a Muslim, you are a Muslim. However, Obama goes to a Christian church (such as it is), so most non-Muslims accept him as a Christian.

Went to a muslim school, father, stepfather and several other family members are muslim, can recite the call to prayer and calls it "one of the most beautiful sounds on earth, ties with Hamas and Farrakhan....etc., etc. There is more evidence FOR it than against. And you sure can't count that church as Christian. Could care less if he is if he didn't also have ties to radicals. Barack Obama is definitely not Muslim. Consider your source of this rumor. In a political campaign people will say and believe the most inconsistent accusations. The Urban Legend web site snopes.com is a good place to check out these ridiculous notions.
Barack Obama is not Muslim. If he were, there's no way he'd be the presumptive nominee. To the person who wrote about Oprah influencing Barack's religion: don't make me laugh. There is a limit to how much money any one contributor can give. Oprah probably gave the maximum amount, but that's it. She's supported him and had her on her show, which is worth a lot of money in terms of "PR" (all the money he's spent on commercials probably still isn't worth the potential gain from one appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show). However, I really don't think that it came with the condition that he make any sort of religious claims...that's ludicrous. I love it how people turn to ignorance when they don't get their way. And then more morons come by and give thumbs-down because they can't get their way either. I'm glad Yahoo! answers has provided you people with a forum in which to cry.
