Why is Ron Paul always last in the polls?
He has the best ideas for the country and then comes last in all the polls? You want to get out of Iraq and he is the only person saying we shouldn't be there in the first place, yet he comes last. Is he a closet Satanist or something that I don't know about?

- Your view is your opinion. Obviously, most people don't share it. =============== Life is so simple, but we insist on making it complicated Confucius 551 - 479 BC =============== Peace Jim .
- Because he is the only American with a brain and all of you can't seem to elect intelligent people.
- I haven't seen him last in any polls, but I think everyone that ranked lower than him in any of the polls have dropped out of the running by now.
- He doesn't have the money to gain all the support like Romney or McCain
- Because of his stance on Foriegn policy...which is basicly to stay home...look back at history and thats how it was before WW1 and WW2...don't get involved.
- Because he is a loon who qualifies only as President of Fantasy Land.
- last in polls - always.
- Because he is pretty much an unknown. No one really knows anything about him because the media doesn't even mention his name. His has a small following on the internet, and that is probably where his small percentage of voters have come from so far.
- He isn't. Look at the results. He has beat each of the other candidates in at least one state. He took 2nd in Nevada and 2nd or 1st...still counting... in Louisiana. The mainstream press has said he is unelectable from the beginning. People are starting to realize they were tricked.
- Supposedly he is a racist and an isolationist. He wins every debate.
- Because not enough people support him. Pretty simple.
- As scarce as truth is, supply is always greater than demand.
- He is last in the polls because the people who WERE last dropped out of the race. Once he drops he won't be last anymore, don't worry.
- Intelligence has no value in America + we voted Bush for 8 years.
- Most of his positions are good, his problem is the loony toons supporters that are highly vi sable across the country. Most of his supporters look and act like they entered the twilight zone and that turns normal folk off.
- Ron Paul is an extremist. he was literally the only conservative candidate running in both parties. Today in the US we have the liberals (Republicans), and the socialists (Democrats), to them Ron Paul was a disease. The media is culpable in supporting the two party game that goes on so they wouldn't' cover Ron Paul with any serious objective analysis of his views. Ron Paul is really a bit of a distraction, it is as if he is there to inject the values of the 19th century US into the debate. I happen to agree with him, we've lost our way and forgotten the nation we were. Too bad he's nuts or his valid points might have made a difference in the national debate.
- Really... have you seen his platforms??? Open borders? And as for his Iraq policy... you know its easy to say what should and should not have happened but what is important now is how to handle our current situation. McCain has more Vietnam experience (another place we really had no business being) and he knows how important it is for us to get out... the right way. As an international leader, how are we supposed to command respect if we just leave a problem we created. And besides, how can you take someone whose campaign signs are all hand-made seriously?
- it's a popularity contest... Without media presence, you get no popularity... period. He has the support of millions of individuals...but not so much the support of corporate interests and industries. Also, the people who support Ron Paul are somewhat new to politics... many are first time voters. While they are making an internet presence with blogs and e-mails.., they aren't necessarily out there scouring for poll position. Polls are largely irrelevant, but they do have the ability to shape the confidence of voters in a particular candidates electability. http://news.aol.com/political-machine/2008/01/28/aol-straw-poll-jan-28-feb-4/
- His advocacy for immediate withdrawl from Iraq. That position, more than anything else, precludes him as a serious contender for the GOP nomination. Very few Republican voters support that position in what many of them consider the most important issue facing America. The Paul-sters who go around spouting "If you aren't voting for Paul, you're a freedom-hating idiot" don't help, either.
- 1) The "9-11 truth" crowd that attaches itself to him scares voters off 2) Too many (not all but too many) Ron Paul supporters are rude, basically implying "Only a MORON could possibly like anyone else." You attact more flies with honey than vinegar. 3) Paul is saying things that people don't want to hear. People don't want to think about the possibility that their money is built on fragile illusions (fiat money) instead of hard currency (silver or gold). People don't want to consider the fact that the easiest way to lower Federal taxes is to lower the amount of bureaucrats that are on the payroll by eliminating unnecessary agencies. And people love pork barrel. Sure, they want to stop the OTHER states from "wasting my taxes"...but it's OK if it's for THEIR state. If my fellow Ron Paul supporters want to get more traction (yes I *DO* support Ron Paul) we need to eliminate the 9-11 truther distractions, focus in on his positives (and I do believe his foreign policy, properly explained, is a POSITIVE as well as his economic policy), and find POLITE ways to persuade and promote our differences with McCain, Romney, Clinton, Obama and Huckabee.
