In 2007 Ron Paul won every debate. How come he is so low in the polls now?

I really like his sense on a lot of the issues. He should've been winning right now. In 2007 Ron Paul won every debate mostly by more than every other person in the debate combined. How come he is so low in the polls now?

  1. No $$$$$$ and no confidence from the Two party system.
  2. Too many people still confuse him with Ru Paul.
  3. Because the republicans can not control him the way the control McCain
  4. I don't get it. Were the debates scored in some way? How exactly was the winner determined?
  5. Umm... sane people tend to think that Ron Paul came off as borderline insane.
  6. Who is Ron Paul?
  7. no offense, may be because he appears like a comedian. He might be serious in whatever he says but people have hard time to eat what he serves, because he believes in an utopik world...
  8. If it were all about debating imbecilic Republican candidate then he did win. Did you ever watch any of those Republican debates? It was like the battle of the the morons. They were all idiots. It was a contest on who could be the best gay bash-er and the biggest racist - fascist. Issues were never discussed except more war. That's like winning a award for having the coolest spot in hell . .lol.
  9. In who's opinion did he win every debate. It is obvious by the amount of votes he got after the debates he wasnt really winning people over. He got less votes over the length of his campain than some people did in one state. He is border line insane and I think after his run at the GOP Nomination his people in his district got to learn a little too much about him and I think he will have problems regaining his seat the next time it is up for election
  10. The Ron Paul Revolution is dying now that people are realizing what kind of person he really is.
  11. The debates are so structured and restricted that they're nothing more than organized sound bytes. And the news medi picks the 'winners', no matter how well or poorly they really did.
  12. The media and all they represent are scared to death of Ron Paul and his ideas. Those people did all they could to make sure he got little or no press. As the USA has become a bit of a facist country now with corporations running most things, there is no chance of any signifigant change unless Americans get so angry they start to Rock, Rattle and Roll the control groups who mislead, confuse or outright lie to them about who's who and what's what. If you want truth ...you will have to go places other than Amer. media, newspapers or TV. Most AMeri. don't know the difference, nor do they know what is about to hit them. When they are down and out as a result of all these lies and intentional misleadings, it will be too late. There is no time to worry about draining the swamp ...when you are up to your bupkiss in aligators!
  13. Simple, he doesn't fit the contender profile of those who control the party, or the media. Remember how great Rudy was? How he was talked about non-stop by all the talking heads right up to the actual debates? Then when he flopped, they tried picking up Romney, a man who in my opinion is just as conservative as Rudy. (In other words he isn't). Then when he won Iowa, Tax Hike Mike was suddenly the picture of the republican party. The true Conservative! Even though he himself wasn't. They even tried elevating Fred Thompson, a man I admittedly like, even though I didn't vote for him. Finally, they decided to go with (in their opinion), the TRUE MAVERICK...John McCain. A man who has more in common politically with Hillary Clinton than even Bill Clinton. The fact is, the MEDIA, not the people chose our candidates once again. Paul who did nothing more than tell the truth from the begining was treated as if he wasn't there. He was just pushed aside, smeared, labeled to no end as a kook....even though he made the most sense out of any republican candidate, and was right...popular or not. This is in my opinion the worst presidential race in my life time. None of the mainstream idiots should be allowed anywhere near The Oval Office, let alone return to their current seats. Bob Barr....in my opinion...or for that matter....(holding my nose) Ralph Nader....would do more for America than either Clinton, Obama, or McCain. I just might write in Ron Paul.
  14. He did win every debate in the text polls, just shows to prove he was correct all the time. The media was mainly responsible for labeling him as a kook and nutjob, because in fact, Ron Paul gets his ideas from the Constitution, how is this crazy?! It's nothing but brainwashing the American public, the elite control the masses, and were very scared of Paul's ideas because he wanted to get rid of the corruption that is infiltrated in DC. I respect him for that, and he still has my support.
